ok, so it's more expensive to buy packs of grated cheese at the supermarket, but I've just grated my finger ends into the bargain!

I bought some pre grated mozzarela the other month (it was on special offer) that'll teach me. It was awful, rubbery and had no flavour. Def a one off, back to grating the fingers.....:)

Do you have a food processor? They generally have a grating attachment which is very good. I use my processor quite a bit and think they are well worth the money. They grate, slice, beat, grind etc.

I cannot eat grated cheese as I am allergic to gluten beware they put stuff in it like potato starch!

Have you got a food processor? You could use your grater attachment!

I sometimes grate my fingers (but usually my nails) so when I get to the end of the chunk i'm grating (or carrot) I give up and just eat what's left :p

We used to have one of those rotary graters and I never found them to be very good.
