Yes, they decided to refund £787 plus interest which was a bonus. Fingers crossed you have the same outcome. Basically they pushed it to the 8 weeks but its worth the wait.0

hi,
I sent my first letter to lloyds by a recored delivery on the 5/2/09 asking them to looking to my claim.
To this date I have had no responce from Lloyds and now wondering what to do next???
Is it worth sending a second letter to Lloyds along with my CCCS hardship letter or should I go straight to the FOS?
Any advice would be great

Hi there
If you've heard absolutely nothing by the full 8 weeks they have, you are entitled to take your case to the FOS, but did you make sure they received your letter, by checking it out on track and trace?
If not ring them to ask them, just to be sure, just in case.
I take it this is in regards of PPI?
Any other complaints I think would be treated separately.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
To be honest i don't know if they recieved the letter but the post office is four shops up the street from the bank so i would like to think so?? but can be 100% sure.
Should i just send them a second letter then?? becasue im sure if a ring lloyds i'll get nowhere and end up being fobbed off!!0 -

There is no harm in sending them another letter, its now your choice with doing this or to the FOS, maybe you could re-send a copy of the letter you already sent and ask if they are able to deal with this in the next 10 days, because you did originally sent a letter to them in FEB but not heard anything further.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi,
I am also trying to claim back PPI taken out with a loan which I had through Lloyds TSB and received the standard letter to say I should receive a response no later than the 24/04/2009.
I received a letter from them last week. However, it says that they are currently unable to resolve my issue and therefore pointed out I am now entitled to go to the FOS. They have said that they shall continue to investigate my case and will be in contact shortly but have left this open ended with no timeline so I am clueless as to when they will actually get back to me.
Has anyone else had this with Lloyds recently, and what should I do. Shall i go to the FOS now or wait another few weeks to give them a little more time before going to the FOS...
I'm so confused and frustrated as was expecting an answer one way or another. at least if i hadn't got the answer i wanted i would know what steps to take next to pursure them further...
Thanks0 -

Hi there
Yes both me and hubby had dealings with LLoyds, but in regards of credit card ppi, but there are also many others on here with complaints with this company.
Lloyds did not resolve mine and hubby's complaints, but the FOS did, but Lloyds as stated in the media seem to reject 95% of their complaints, where mostly they are resolved through the FOS.
However, lately I note some have been successful through Lloyds, so now its your choice in this case.
You can still continue to go to the FOS if you want to, or give them your own timescale.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I had this wrote letters to LLoyds tsb and eventailly they came back and said i had no case and i ad 6 months to take the matter to ombudsman. So i did as i was told i had to take ppi or they would consider not giving me the loan. plus i paid it off early but didnt get any ppi payments back for the months i wouldnt be needing them for.
After about a year at the ombudsman i recieved a letter the otherday saying i lloyds were willing to settle £200 compensation a refund of all my ppi insurance payments and 8% interest so £2000 all in all.
So yes to all you reading this go to Lloyds first but make sure you get your letter in to the ombudsman, they make the claim tick on your behalf and come up with results."Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0 -
