I've been stopped recently, I always pay my pol in full, and I ensured the cop this. He explained the MID was 99% accurate, my reply was b'''''ks, I work in Insurance, and most companies work on an 85% targeting ratio.
I asked him to try the PNC (Police National computer), which he did and lo and behold, there I was on cover!

Note for the future, the MID is not flawless, regardless what people tell you.
