Drivers who do 30 in a 60 zone

I suppose you lot will have a go at us HGV driver who do 40 in a NSL on a single carriage way also.
Well guess what that is what all of us voted for when the law got changed to this speed years ago.
I would guess that some or most of you stay in the second lane on the motorway instead of pulling back into the first lane:mad: .
Try and get in front of an hgv when joining the M-way even if that means pulling straight in front of a 44 ton wagon with the stopping distance of 1/4 mile at 56 mph:mad: .
Decide to leave the m-way at the last minuate cutting up another wagon in doing so:mad: .
All this so you car drivers can save a milli second of time.
It is only 30MPH or whatever speed IF IT IS SAFE TO DO SO!!!!!
Car drivers  bah hum bug etc.
RANT over
good evening everyone:ASpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -
Maybe the car was breaking down. Why assume it's the driver?0

This thread is a classic example of the result of strict adherence to the speed limit.
Who gives a !!!! what the speed limit is? Drive to the conditions, not the limit. I can think of a great many NSL roads that are entirely unsuitable for speeds of 60mph.0 -
I have no problem with the driver doing 30 in a 60. What gets me is whoever comes up behind them, decides they're happy to travel at 30 too but leave no room for someone that wants to make progress by overtaking each car one at a time. Normally it ends up with 3 or 4 cars, all doing 30 and travelling nose to tail.0

I failed a test for not making sufficient progress, (basically driving too slowly). There is a good reason that you can fail a test for it too as it only serves to agrivate those who are behind you.2009 wins: Cadburys Chocolate Pack x 6, Sally Hansen Hand cream, Ipod nano! mothers day meal at Toby Carvery! :j :j :j :j0

I remember way back when I took my test, I was taught that if you drove way below the posted limit, when it was safe and appropriate to go faster, then I would be failed for "undue hesitancy". The key phrase, of course, being "safe and appropriate", so that includes a whole range of factors such as road, traffic, weather and lighting conditions. But part of the test route went from a 30mph limit to a 50mph limit, and the examiner expected you to speed up when you reached the 50 limit to see that you had observed the change in limit.0
