Parking a car when you can't see the bonnet?

Experience. Seriously, you should know roughly how car your bonnet goes out and drive accordingly.
Alternatively get front parking sensors!0 -
set up something in the drive and move forward until you are touching it. Then try and remember that view in your mind.
As for parking sensors, becomes a real bu$$er when I'm driving the missus car and it doesn't have them and I'm reversing by ear.........:rotfl:0 -
I'm not too bothered about the drive and I know I will get used to it but it is just the getting used to it bit!
I am normally quite good at parking (for a woman)and prefer to reverse into a tight parking spot than drive into it but that is when I can see the bonnet.
:rolleyes:0 -
You'll get used to the length of the bonnet...til then err on the side of caution.
I've got a toyota lucida and can't see the bonnet...the wheel arch was a good judgement and I just practised loads in an empty car park (getting in between the lines) Hubby helped a lot too.
Now I can park the bus (as we call it) in some tight spots.
GL...and I'm sure you'll master it!

Just have a look every time you get out and see how much more room there is than you thought. Then next time you're driving you'll know that you have x much more room in front. It might take a few times but eventually you'll just know.0

Everytime you park up look at how far you are from the object in front. You'll soon learn to guesstimate. The man without a signature.0

Aye but I have this uncanny knack of flying out the drive way in reverse and almost collecting the telegraph pole :eek:0 -
Can you ever see the front of a bonnet in any car your driving? apart from a massive truck haha
The cars Ive had over the years and others Ive drove I have never been able to see the front of the bonnet. or maybe I can but just never noticed. Its just your own good judgment knowing how big your car is and how much space you have infront of youComping again0
