Well I sent in my phones and got received payment within 7 days, so all good for me.
The service was great once I got through to someone. But never responded to my emails and voicemails. I think this is their biggest failing.0 -
Argh this company is driving me insane!! I posted my ipod to them at the same time as I did a phone to mazuma...mazuma have already paid me, chq cleared & money spent!! Bananagreen have yet to agree that they've actually got my ipod!!!!
When I emailed earlier this week to chase them, they were so quick to respond & say 'we've not got your order - send your tracking ref if you have one'. So I replied with the ref straight away (was delivered on 7th) and they've not replied *grrrrr* just about to email them again...Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0 -
Sent in my Nokia 6500 slide they said they would give me £47.00 sent it in my own envelope when they received it they sent me an email stating ``
We write to advise you of an unfortunate delay in the processing of your payment following submission of your device via BananaGreen.com.
Due to changes with our Banking processes we are having certain documentation re-printed which therefore means in essence we cannot issue cheques for approximately two weeks.``
Now i look on there site and it says completed sent date 12th November and still have not had the cheque yet, but not for £47.00 but for £42.30 there was nothing wrong with this phone it met all there criteria WILL NOT USE THESE AGAIN0 -
I sent back my phone by courier as it was worth £124. It was sent 12/1/10 and it got signed for the next day. After a week the tracking hadn't been updated so I started calling to be told they couldn't find the phone. After over a week of phoning every day they agreed to pay the £124 as the phone had been signed for. I was told a cheque would be with me the next day. I waited a week and nothing arrived so I called again and left a message. I have now received this email
Just to make it worse the subject has a different order reference in it.Hello,
We write to advise of a brief delay, this has resulted to your cheque being processed later this week.
I hope to have the cheque with you by early next week.
Once again thank for your patience and accept our apologies.
Regards

I would stay away from this company and use a more popular one to trade in your phones. It's just not worth the hassle for an extra few pounds!
I'll post back as soon as I get my cheque

The cheque finally arrived, and has cleared into my account.
Amazing how much chasing up and time it took just to get my cheque, really i would not bother with the company.

 Awful Awful Awful! I would never use these people again. They quoted me one amount then gave me 10% less because it had minor scratches to the case. I didn't even get the option of accepting the new quote or having the phone back. I just got a cheque for the lesser amount (2 weeks later than they said).
After several emails they said the phone needs to be "As new" to get the full amount. My phone was always kept in a case and had one tiny pit mark the size of a pin !!!!! to the bottom of the case. That little mark cost me £8.00
If Banana Green were the last mobile recycling company in the world I would rather leave my phone festering in a sock drawer for eternity!0 -
I've found that these guys are really awful too. My friend was quoted £100 for a brand new iPod Touch and Banana Green sent through a cheque for £90. What makes things worse is that in the letter that accompanies the cheque they have failed to give a reason for the deduction.
The letter has a section which states "Upon inspecting your device, unfortunately it does not qualify for 100% of the payment as quoted during the online submission process due to the follow reason(s):" and this is followed by a blank space.
I would show you the letter but I'm not allowed to post links up on here as I'm a new user.
My advice to anyone wanting to use Banana Green is don't! You would be better off trying one of the other ones.0
