    A lot of people call it a MAC code, but this isn't really correct. It's a MAC, it stands for Migration Authorisation Code.

    Switching from one broadband supplier to another is far easier (and quicker) using a MAC rather than cancelling one company first, then signing up to a new company. It can be cheaper too. A lot of suppliers will charge for people signing up, but don't charge for people migrating into them using a MAC.

    I was with Tiscali for a long time about 3 years ago. Never again. They hounded me for a final bill which i was sure i paid and threatened me with court proceedings. Don't blame you for leaving them. Wouldn't go near them ever again.
    I am with TalkTalk now and have been for 2 years. You get 5 free email addresses, webspace, 2mb broadband, unlimited download all for £17.99 a month.
    Not sure if its the best but ive never had any complaints. Rather than waffle on heres the link.
