How long do boiled eggs last?

I hate to argue with Wikipedia
but Rose Prince in The New English Kitchen says they last for 'about a week, refrigerated and unshelled.' She says semi-soft boiled eggs keep this way too.
I often make up some egg and mayo for sandwiches and keep it for about 5 days in the fridge (nice with grated cheese in too).0 -
I'd be inclined to agree with you thriftlady..........I'm not sure I'd fancy eating a two to three week old egg. _pale_

I just wanted to say well done for calling the manager on the price increase:beer:
It is good for them to know that their price increases don't go unnoticed.
Sorry I can't help with the hardboiled egg question though!0 -
They are introducing cost hikes now so they can discount for the Easter bank holiday when people have time on their hands and tend to overshop!
They think we are such mugs...:cool:Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

how discusting , a 30p price rise on one small item .
your homemade stuff will probably be much nicer anyway.0 -
TBH I think £1.46 is far too much to start with. Eggs and potatoes aren't exactly expensive ingredients. I do agree a 20% price hike is silly though.0

I qute agree. Trouble is I leave the house about 7 and get back about 7 totally done in and I can't be bothered to make a lunch for the next day and the 10 minute walk to Tesco does at least get me out for half an hour at lunch time.
However this is the incentive I need. I can still walk to Tesco but not buy anything0 -
Hello
I noticed the other day (14th) that I had a box of 6 eggs in the fridge use by that day. I made 3 of them into scrambled eggs and hard boiled the rest. Have just realised it is now the 17th and I haven't eaten them yet. Do you think they will be okay? How long do they usually keep for, and when do they go rubbery?I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0
