How long do boiled eggs last?

yeah boiled eggs will be fine for a few days. in fact when i am having them in sandwiches for the week i boil them all at the start of the week and eat them right through til friday. i don't see why boiling (if the shell is intact) changes the "use by" date.
for runny boiled eggs with soldiers (which are one of my favourite foods!) i boil the water in the kettle, put the eggs in the pan, pour on the water (which doesn't normally crack them) and time four minutes from the water starts boiling in the pan again.0 -
I would say 3 days as HM egg mayo sandwich filling will last about 3 days as well.
I put my eggs into cold water and do 3 mins from boiling - but I haven't tried it on the new cooker yet - it might vary“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hi All,
I boiled some eggs last Thursday.... will they still be ok? I thought not, but then got thinking that raw eggs last for ages!

Hard-boiled eggs should be kept in the refrigerator and eaten within 5 days.
Or you might get salmonella.
Cooking the eggs rinses off a protective layer on the shell, so germs enter.0 -
Hi,
Get ready for a daft question, but....
Once I have boiled an egg, how long can I keep it for?
I would like to boil up 3 say on a Sunday, for Mr EL to take to work as snacks.
My mum used to run a bar and keep them for ages as snacks for people to buy with their drinks, but I can't bring myself to ask her this question...

It says here to cool them quickly then keep them in the fridge. I would have thought about 3 days would have been fine but it doesn't say for how long unfortunately.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Thanks Gingham - thought as much but wanted to check! xMFW #185

Yes i would say 3 days too. As long as they are kept cold they will be fine.I used to work in a kitchen and we wouldn't use them after the 3rd day. Never had any complaints. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile0

Anyone know how long they will keep in their shells in the fridge?
Tesco have put the price up of my daily egg and potato salad from £1.46 to £1.76 which is an outrageous increase and is just the spur I need to start putting together my own.
I did tell the manager he will need to order 5 fewer next week! No wonder they make such obscene profits.0
