It doesn't sound the slightest bit 'tekky' it is the biggest load of pseudo-scientific codswallop since snake oil was invented.

Anyway you are behind the times as a simple magnet strapped to the fuel lines of cars, CH boilers cause the molecules to line up and is shown(in authentic scientific tests) to improve consumption by - let me think of a figure - how does 42.77% sound?

Complete and utter rubbish! I wonder what Martin will think about his name being used as an endorsement!!!!!

Ok, this forum was set up to help people save money. Somone asked if this stuff works, so lets be objective. Myself and thousands of other people use this product and used in a boiler it saves about 25% on oil. Using another GFC product we save between 12 and 18% on our petrol costs. We have been using it for over 3 years with no damage to engine or boiler, in fact they are both running cleaner and chucking out a lot less emissions.
If you use this product you will save money! If you do not, you will not.
We always find it amusing when non users tell us it doesn't work.
At a meagre few quid a bottle it's hardly a big buying decision is it !!!!!
Doh! I wonder why 3 of the largest fuel consumption companies in the UK use this product in 10's of thousands of litres......... oh yes! I know...because it doesn't work for them!!! get a grip and start saving money folks.

The thing is, you can't test if something like this works in an operational system.

If I put it in my oil tank in February, then check what my oil consumption was next month, then it's almost certain to have dropped due to the weather. The same is true of cars - it only takes a little more motorway driving for your fuel consumption to drop right down.

It needs a scientific test, using a boiler or engine on a dynamometer with all other conditions controlled. It also needs to investigate any possible maintenance or operational issues that the fuel conditioner uses.

I can't post links, but the only report I can find that I would say is fair concludes that PD-5 makes no difference at all.

Looking at the patent, it does appear to have a lot of made up mumbo-jumbo in it.

Why aren't oil fired powerstations using this stuff then?

I take it that means there are actually no un-biased reports on PD-3 or PD5 fuel conditioner or fuel additive, and that neither provides any noticeable benefit?

You've always got to watch out when posting on here, more often than not attempts at publicity backfire and you end up with search results at the top of google that are negative.

That is an excellent point about anyone using Google(or any search engine) will find what nonsense is being claimed by these people.

I really cannot believe that people would buy it, do they seriously think it works? If it did work it would be tested by WHICH and every other consumer magazine.

I suspect that if such claims were made in print, rather than the internet. that legal action would be taken.

Sales are up 30% on this product. Thats because it works. Lets not get caught up by the poo poo people who havn' t even tried it.
A small time chat room does not influence sales in the UK, but a good product does....... good pr on google.......job done.

5 posts all singing the praises of this rubbish? No vested interest of course.

Snake oil will sell - there are enough gulible idiots about and enough rogues out to make a killing; - they even stoop to posting on small time chat rooms like this one; have they no pride!!!!

    Absolute garbage!!!

I have been using PD-3 in the oil for my 26 year old central heating boiler since November 2007 and PD-5 in my 2000 registered Audi A6 Avant (1.8 litre petrol turbo).

    Heating Oil Usage
    Jun 87 - Jun 92 10.97 litres per day
    Jun 92 - Sep 97 11.75 litres per day
    Sep 97 - Feb 02 13.03 litres per day
    Feb 02 - Nov 07 10.84 litres per day
    Nov 07 - Feb 11 9.67 litres per day

    Fuel Usage
Prior to using PD-5 29.2 mpg (over about 50000 miles0
Using PD- 5 32.1 mpg (over 32000 miles

Obviously weather and driving conditions change but I think these results cover a wide enough range to allow for variations.
I make no claims that it improves things, but I WILL continue to use it myself.

PD3 is coloured water, but it's special 'vibrational' water.

I think they use these special 'vibrational water bands' to make it

You couldn't make this stuff up (but they do :D)
