Notching up 'thank yous' seems to be really competitive.
I think you'll find that a large number of people look at threads just to see what they're about.

With any GPS mapping software after a couple of years you may want to update it(£50) but you don't have to, it doesn't change that quickly, loads of people drive round quite happily with a road atlas from 19xx!
There are no fees to use the GPS but if you choose to add safety camera alerts as alot of people do, you will have to pay to update the files every now and again(£2 a go or £19 a year with pocketgps), cheaper than a £60 fine, 3 points and the extra premiums charged by insurance companies, your choice.0 -

Back in the day you used to pay but no new sat navs have a mandatory subscription fee. I3s have no annual charge, firmware updates for it are free but the map data costs. Currently they do the map data updates for free but you have to post them your memory card, they copy the new map data onto it and post it back. Tom Toms offer traffic forecasting and such services which require a monthly charge but these are extras not mandatory.0 -

I am aware amounts of large people view posts just to see what they are about. And its great regulars wizz around looking at different threads, i do not mind. I was simply surpised seeing 'so many' posts without a thanks. My reply was to him or her.
I was just miffed the fact someone posted just to say they weren't going to say thank you. Then he or she got personal. I don't think he or she would like it if I hijacked his totally free money saving thread with bullsh1t.0 -

All Garmin I3 owners are eligible.
If it's a matter of updating the card, can't I do the update myself somehow if the files were available?
Am not very happy at the moment as I went and bought a brand new one from Staples and it's a bloody version 7!!0 -
Unfortunately you can't update it yourself, might be worth going back to Staples to see if they have a V8 you could swap with, or return it and get one from Halfords(£130 - £10 voucher(spend in store)), they had V8.0
-
The ten pound voucher back from Halfords can you use it on the purchase of the Garmin to bring the price down or is it for subsequent purchases?0
-
You get the £10 Halfords voucher for spending over £50, this offer runs until the 12th March.
You can then spend the voucher on purchases from the 13th>31st March.0 -
Boatman, have now got a v8 from Halfords in exchange for the Staples v7. Nuff said. Thanks.0
