This is another way for these big companies to make money - everything we buy in shops has a percent added to cover thief, breakages etc all figured into the price we pay and lets be honest these shops are turning a big profit!!!

my daughter (who's 16) received one of these letters from rlp and although I dont agree with what she done, I do feel that this is a rip off = she tried to take 16.49 worth of make up from superdrug was caught, the police where called, they called me, she was verbally abused, had Profanities shouted at her & was intimidated by the store manager (this all happen before police arrived) I arrived offered to pay, but was told no need and was told no further action would be taken - so you could imagine my surprise when my daughter received an letter from rlp stating she had to pay £137 there was no mention of this by the store manager to me or the police. my daughter is in the middle of taking her GCSE and doesn't have an income.

Am I responsible for this bill? Do I have to pay it?
