Finally I've got the A & L deal through. 3.99% no fees to re-mortgage for 5 years. Really chuffed.
Need to open the Premier account and the £100 incentive is back on.
The net result is that I'm going to be in profit for switching my mortgage. The £100 will cover the money transfer fees and that stupid £35.00 fee if you do take their house insurance.0 -
The £100 incentive is back ? ,, dam I opened my account just as it closed and missed it , now ive opened it its back on , gutted !!!0

me too - but I'm gonna raise hell, and see if I can't swing it anyway0
-
what account did you open ? i think its on the other account this time ?
it was the Premier Current Account - but when I was speaking with them about the remortgage, she mentioned that £100 rebate thing... so I'll just argue that that was the dealbreaker for me - and see what happens?!0 -
Whats the best for a 10 year, probably worth doing even more so0

I have been looking for a 10yr fix as I am a new home owner and in my early 20s. I was offered a mortgage by rbs until they realised I have a probation period on my job, even though its very secure! I have to wait 2 Months before I can re-mortgage does anybody have any clue whats going on with 10yr fixed deals at the moment are they being pulled like the 5yr deals?
How long have you been in your job. If you have been there 3 months, even if probation is longer (like 6) then there are lenders that will do it.0 -
back to this thread for A & L 3.99% no fees people.
Received all the details now. The first payment will be taken from my regular Northern Rock account not the A & L account which I thought was a condition of the mortgage. I've haven't actually got around to setting up the account anyway.
Anyone else had this?0 -
Same here. I think they do this to cover the payment should your new account not be set up in time.
I've just sent back my completed check list for DD's on the current account.
Odd how the mortgage was sorted so much quicker than the current account.0 -
I had this ,
i was told by the mortgage dept , that they are totally seperate from the banking side and dont get told anything from them as such !!
Money will be taken from my existing bank until i tell them otherwise, even though my A+L bank account is now setup !!0
