Morning all,
DH is up now so I can strip the bed and pop it in the WM. BM on and lunch made, cheese & spring onion omlettes for DH & DD2. I'm going to DD2's this a.m. to blitz her place then bring her and Charlotte here so she can have a sleep while I look after the baby. SiL2b has been asked to work today, he's still on Paternity leave but is needed for an emergency job.
If DGD is a good girl this afternoon I hope to cook a beef cass & mash for us and DD2 to take home for their dinner. Have some apples in the freezer so will make a crumble.
MEANMARIE, What a tradgic accident, hope DGS will cope with the sad news and that DD doesn't beat herself up too much.

my 2 girls have decided they dont want easter eggs this year as they want to be healthy. the thing is I can buy them an easter egg for a pound, but any other present will cost a lot more. so the dilema is - do I go with the cheap choccy egg or buy them someting else costing an awful lot more?

Good morning all. It's so windy here and it's started raining. It's not cold though. The entire contents of someone's bin blew over during the night and living on the corner as we do,it seemed to rattle around all night being blown to and fro.Couple that with the fact I came home from my daughter's with a realy bad sore throat and feeling awful,I did'nt get much sleep.
Tru,sorry to hear of your tooth abcess.I do hope you get it sorted out soon. They are so painful.
My plans for today are to try and stop feeling sorry for myself(I do feel horrible though)and get my normal "Monday" houseclean and laundry done.
My grand-daughter comes back from Belguim tonight so we'll have to be up late to go pick her up.I can't wait to see her and want everything ship shape for her return.
I hope everyone has a good day and the weather is'nt too nasty for you all.0 -

Got up at 7a.m. to make cheese sandwich on home made French bread for DDs lunch at school-she has left it on the kitchen table!!!!!
Have a good mind to just stay in bed tomorrow - not wake her up, not make pack up etc!!!! and tell her she is 15 so can set an alarm clock, make a sandwich for herself the night before and get stuff looked out as well.
Put a spicy fruit loaf in the Panny which will be ready at 11ish as DD(20) likes it and is just home from uni.
Lunch will be something like a salad or omelet and tea a la leftovers with maybe home made soup if I can wake myself up enough to make it.
Tru
Good Luck with the abcess -

It is extremely windy today here. I was hoping to take little bear out as far as a shop about ten minutes each way - him walking all the way. The nearest park that isn't bounded by a major road on one side and a beck on the other is twenty minutes walk each way away which was physically impossible for me last summer, but now is doable. Of course, dear heart forgot to take the pushchair out of the car, but was planning a walk anyway. Now I think he may be blown over! Also, lots of weird stuff blowing around since the nice man next door has been given 7 days to clear his rubbish off the street...
Washing machine on. I plan a bit of a blitz on the washing - though I have no idea how I shall dry it. The dust and dirt blown around from the street means I don't want to put it outside.
I have a yellow stickered chicken, use by 21 Mar - wondering if it is safe to cook today. Hmm. Otherwise chilli con charlie tonight.
Meanmarie - hugs. It is so hard to have a shock like that. When I was little I was told that someone was so poorly that they had to go to heaven. It made sense to me as a little one. I don't know if it helps.
Dear heart had palpitations last night. He won't see a doctor.

Morning all
Cold here in Essex this morning
Had 3 cards from the children and 1 present from DD2 which she had made a little box with ribbon on that said"Whenever you are lonely or ever feeling blue this gift is a reminder that i am always there with you be sure you dont unwrap it please leave the ribbon tied just hold it very close to you its filled with love inside" which was lovely and makes me cry the other 2 managed not to argue or be horrid to each other so not too bad we went too southend for chips and a nice long walk with the dogs after doing some more decking in the garden it was nice just to be a family together
Marie sorry to hear about your DGS dog
Pen Pin hugs to you
Hugs to all those who are feeling lonely or a bit let down or sad

Good Morning Chums it's a bit breezy at the moment here in North Kent and the sky is looking a bit bleugh, so I don't think I will be pegging out the wash this morning .I was thoroughly spoilt yesterday by my two DDs and had lots of goodies. One of them was a nice jumper that i wore last night to DD's for dinner. Its very soft and a lovely pale pinky colour .The only thin is when I took it offf last night I seemed to be shedding lots of pale pink wool.I think I'll hand wash it and see what it looks like .My bra was covered in fluff as well ??
Got to pop to the bank to do some banking for DD but no shopping to buy this week so its going to be a cheap one .College tonight so an early dinner around five for me .We break up next week till Sepetmber so I'll get my Monday nights back.Clocks change next week so it'll be nice to see the lighter nights coming in.Made some fairy cakes yesterday for the kids and they just dissappeared in nano seconds.Might make a lemon drizzle cake today as its craft class tomorrow afternoon.
<,hugs to those in need >> and I hope everyone has a good Monday
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
:hello: Good morning!
tiredmum - What a lovely present from your DD!
meanmarie - So sorry about DGS's dog
betheebee - Don't get worn out! I hope you manage to have some "Me" time occasionally.
tru - Good luck with the new poison! I'm sure it's partly my DH's fault "our" mice came in - he snacks on seeds, and is forever dropping sunflower seeds etc on the floor, and not noticing because they're the same colour as the rug
(((((HUGS))))) to all in need of some.
Not sure what we're doing today - will probably go to Matalan to exchange a t-shirt which was the wrong size. It was in their "2 for £5" deal and the "Medium" label on the hanger was the same colour as the XXL one
Sounds as if some of you further North are having a blustery time! It's ok here at present, so may be able to get some washing on the line later.
Dinner will probably be lamb chops, but haven't decided what to have them with.
DD2 and family were meant to be coming round y'day but in the event there was nowhere for them to park, so DD popped in for about 2 minutes while DSIL drove round and round the block with the LOs in the car - hoping to see them tomorrow instead0 -
I would be interested in opinions on this. With the wind being extremely vigorous, I just walked little bear to the corner shop and we bought some currant tea cakes ready toasted and buttered and walked back. Little bear was nearly blown away (and loved it!).
Well, little bear loved the teacakes, though I would much rather he had porridge for breakfast. However re teacakes - is it really worth making at home? And do they freeze?
Jackie - I have never managed to get a shedding jumper to stop shedding. If you find the trick, please share.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
