    Bathroom done

Just need a cuppa now and then my shower. Trying to drink a glass of water before each cuppa today as I don't think I'm drinking enough.

    Morning all

You lot chatted loads last night - it's taken me two cups of tea to catch up!

Natty - it would be lovely to see you on the 4th...And there's nothing to be afeared of in Brockenhurst it's a lovely village with horses and cattle roaming the streets...
Hex - I was thinking about the pup and the chickens. Could you train him to herd them into the hen house at night and not herd at any other time?
Funfairprincess - 4ft, glaswegian accent, wears child's clothes - how about Janette Tough from the Krankies? :D

Slept in really late which is unusual for me - must have needed it though. Shame it has to be the weekend of the missing hour. It's nearly 11 o'clock and I'm still in my nightie

Not too much to do today. I have put a throw in the WM and there's probably one more load to go in but that's about it. As the weather is really nice, I shall probably potter in the garden. It needs depooping and some seeds I planted up a couple of weeks ago need potting out into bigger pots. So I shall go and bathe and then potter I think

    Good morning,
Switched off all the lights last night & everything else, just went to bed dosed up with cough medicine, stupid dry tickly cough, (felt really rough).

This morning I hung the washing out (with matching pegs) before I went to collect the paper. I thought everyone used matching pegs, it was only about 10 years ago when one of the girls at work mentioned that she did & everyone laughed at her that I realised it was considered 'strange'. I think from then on we were both labelled 'strange' regarding our domestic duties. Hey ho, it takes alsorts to make a world.

Rosepink - I'll join you on the walk, since I left work at Christmas I have spent too much time sat at this computer & I have put on a 'little' weight!!! I need the exercise & I will start being more careful with the diet (Hopefully).

I have added myself to the Flylady cast.

I have had enough - add your name (if I have missed you) and preferred 'star' to the list.

Oh by the way, obviously I will be consultant on this epic and it will be VERY necessary for me to liaise with Messrs Depp and Clooney and explain the intricacies of peg matching to them both (separately!) in order to enhance (erm) the artistic nature and general Fly-ness of this mega epic...and top ensure things are [strike]inserted[/strike] put where they should be!
    ***sigh***
    I have work to do!

yes it was hun its a great recipe for freshening the carpet and you can adapt it for your mood/needs the basic recipe is

    100g bicarb
    2 drops tea tree oil
    2 drops lavender oil
    2 drops ylang ylang
2 drops clary sage (do not use if pregnant or if you have diabete's i cant stress this enough because it can cause miscarrage)

open the tub of bicarb empty aproximatley half out and add the oils then put the other half back in and shake well. with a fork crate some holes (or use an old pepper tub) sprinkle over carpet and leave for ten mins, vacume the carpet and if you can get away with it dont empty the bag as it will clean your vacume cleaner aswel in the process.this can be stored in the container for 3 months. if you have a medical condition or simply need some energy/have other needs you can use the apropriate oil in place of the clary sage.

if you dont have essential oils in the house (fragrance oils are not the same thing)use lemmon juice (3 drops) and salt (1tsp) but if you use this it must be discarded after use

any problems let me know and ill recomend a different oil

Thanks for that. I have just ordered some lavender heads (£1.05) to do just that. Bit worried about the bicarb as have a Dyson and think it may jam up my filters. Have been making own cleaning stuff a lot recently - mainly consisting of vinegar water and either tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil (smells wonderfully fresh) As I find I'm reacting to shop bought stuff (not to mention the savings made of course). Has anyone got a link to various cleaning recipes (I know someone posted a link sometime ago, I did bookmark it but seem to have deleted it:eek:).

    Morning all

I've been around the weekend but not doing or posting much. I did a load of washing yesterday which just dried before the heavens opened. Today I've got a load on the line including the throw from the settee.

I've got a roast dinner roasting. DH stayed at DD1's last night, dog sitting and this afternoon he's helping DD2 take turf to the composting site. Not much else going on.

I was hoping for a little lie-in this morning but the dog had other ideas and was groaning from about 6am. She doesn't know why she's groaning (she's a bit senile) but in the end you give up and get up.

Good news with the regards to the pains they have finally gone, although I did get a twinge this afternoon when I was helping hubby lift something from his back bedroom. When will I learn!! Now I am starting to feel depressed and tired. Unfortunately I missed a couple of days of my "happy pills" and mood stabilisers this week and it is noticing I have managed to put on half a stone from nowhere since these darn pains started and it is making me even more depressed as I feel fat and frumpy now.. I seem to be on one of my "low" times, still being on a good sprial never lasts long with me Quote]

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low. Make sure you keep taking your pills – missing even one can make you feel rough. Why not try to have a little walk if you feel up to it? This is my new goal – to have a little walk every day cos this will help my depression and anxiety problems. Why not join me? Toochoosey and Lil_me are going to join in too!
