Well for some reason I cannot ping your DNS servers nor am I able to get anything back froma NSlookup. Have you got a static IP? what was your IP address? Just the first 6 digits will do

First, disable theHamachi network connection, from network connections, if you haven't tried already.

Secondly DHCP is disabled on your wireless connection, any reason? If you want a static IP, set it to use DHCP then set your wireless router to give you a static IP.

Tried the 1st, but it does nothing. In any case i doubt if it'd be causing any problems as the laptop has the same thing on, and until I had this problem with sites not working properly, has caused no problems.

DHCP is disabled on my wired connection (it's not a wireless router) but it's been disabled ever since I got it, and had no problems.

Plus, i think it's much easier to simply just set a static IP on the machine than fiddle with the DHCP server to set it to dish out the same address to the same machine.

    The external IP is 78.33.18X.XXX

    So, i've tried:

    Reset IE settings
Scanned for malware using malwarebytes & spybot [found nothing other than usual ad tracking cookies]
Scanned for viruses using mcafee [found nothing]
    Rebooted router
Changed port to plug in on router
Removed firewall and antivirus (and reinstalled)
Tried it in firefox [same results as IE]
    Tried different DNS servers
    Disabled hamachi connection
    Tried netsh int ip reset
Creating a new user profile on the computer and trying the sites on that
    Tried lspfix
Going into safemode w/ networking and browsing to those sites

The only thing that appears to cure the problem is if I browse through my university's proxy. All sites work fine with little/no problems there.

Also, if I browse on my laptop, I have no problem there. The set-up is fairly similar to the desktop network-wise, static IP etc.
