Ringo - I didn't say I wanted to play in a competely non violent game - I am happy to take part in a conventional game where you and everyone else can shoot up and generally kill each other as demons, giants whatever - it's just that I don't want to do it myself and think there should be a role for the non violent participant in these games as well.0

EVE Online is a brilliant game imo. But the current economic situation means its quite expensive atm. They take Euros not pounds so its about £15 a month. Best £15 a month I spend but still...pricey. 14 day trial from the eve website or 21 days from steam. But. Its a harsh game with a steep learning curve. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3088/2335016192_6003c39c4c.jpg pretty well sums it up

For an IT ish game you cant go wrong with Uplink. Still one of my fave games ever after so many years. Maybe racing games if you want something non-violent. Trackmania Nations Forever is both free and brilliant. Almost a puzzle game and incredibly addictive
