Ringo - I didn't say I wanted to play in a competely non violent game - I am happy to take part in a conventional game where you and everyone else can shoot up and generally kill each other as demons, giants whatever - it's just that I don't want to do it myself and think there should be a role for the non violent participant in these games as well.

  • EVE Online is a brilliant game imo. But the current economic situation means its quite expensive atm. They take Euros not pounds so its about £15 a month. Best £15 a month I spend but still...pricey. 14 day trial from the eve website or 21 days from steam. But. Its a harsh game with a steep learning curve. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3088/2335016192_6003c39c4c.jpg pretty well sums it up :D

For an IT ish game you cant go wrong with Uplink. Still one of my fave games ever after so many years. Maybe racing games if you want something non-violent. Trackmania Nations Forever is both free and brilliant. Almost a puzzle game and incredibly addictive :)
