Plant society meeting all afternoon. Lots of tempting plants, but only spent:

    £1 tea and cake
£1.80 new marker pen for plant labels
    £1 raffle tickets

But made £10 selling plants, cake and books, so not a bad afternoon at all.

    Dear Moths,

for the cheapest vegetables, go for what is in season, spring greens, leeks, parsnips, kale etc.

    Try pulses for cheap protein.

    Good luck!

    Pub lunch £9

But was planned before the light bulb moment and Husband did well by bringing friends back here for pudding instead of staying in the pub and buying it/drinking more beer

TOO MUCH......I'm almost embarrased to post, everyone else has done so well!!!

My excuse is that it's DH's birthday today (so normal spending does not apply!)
    • £40 on lunch out (for me , DH & DS1 & 2 with some also towards BIL/SIL's meal - my DH is far too generous -"no, don't worry, we don't want any change!!" - er...YES WE DO!!)
    • £33 on swimming fees for DS1 (for 12 weeks' lessons - only £2.75 per lesson - not too bad!)
    • £57.88 on grocery shopping
    • DH also bought 2 newspapers & some sweets for DS 1 & 2 - don't know what this cost - say around £3?? (As you can tell, DH is not into this moneysaving lark!!)
    Grand total therefore: £133.88!!!!!!!!!!!

£9 on a takeaway - but was paid for out of copper jar funds, so don't feel guilty :T
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
