  • Nuffink! nor shall I today!

And I've just finished the weekly budget audit, and am proud to say I have spent £9 all week! OH paid for the grocery shop, so there was very little else to spend - SO happy. Debt free date continues to loom, and now I've done all the sums I've balanced up to see it will HOPEFULLY all run through by the last day of March - woo hoo

Well due to a run in with the Inland Revenue I am having to live on the smallest amount of money possible for the next few months! I have five pounds to spend on food this week so today I did my food shopping and the bill came to £4.53. (Its just food for me in case you were worried! and my cupboard already had some basics in it). I have to say it was quite a task to plan to eat for a week and still get the veg in (dont want to get scrurvy) but I bought:
    Instant mashed potato: 33p
    Orange Juice 38p
    Cheese 98p
    Tin of pineapple slices: 26p
    Tin of chopped tomatoes 15p
    A cucumber 78p
    Tin of sweetcorn 17p
    1 banana: 12p
2 peppers £1.36 (they were a bit expensive)
    total: £4.53
So money left over for a bit more fresh fruit if I start to feel like i'm not getting enough vits.
Not bad. Now I just have to get through the week without spending ANYTHING - watch this space!
When in doubt - have a cup of tea

    Wow £5

A few other things that are cheap- tuna, jacket potatoe/beans, soup, you could make BIG cassorol eat that for the week. Are you a veggie?
Sainsbury's do cheap chicken wings 99p.
    Best wishes
