    Nothing so far. Went to gym (membership) and using internet in internet cafe (but already pre bought 10 hours). Have enough food in the flat since Asda delivery, so wont spend anything today I would imagine.

    Am on budget, and cheque should clear Tues (I think I am the only one who gets paid by cheque still!!!), and then its exactly 4 weeks til the next payday. Am considering joining the James&Will challenge!!

    Let's see - needed a couple of things for the house from Focus £7.13.
    Then went to Sainsburys for some food = £20.13

    Total = 27.26

    This came out of cash that OH and I took out to spend on Friday night (but didn't) so not too bad.

    But Wales have just lost to Ireland in the Rugby :( (OH half is Irish!) - what did they do to Stephen Jones.... :cry: Hope he's better soon.

    £20 on underbed storage from B&Q (much needed) and that's it for today.
  • A big well done moth for shopping so frugally, I have been out and spent 36 pounds in asda today, £8 of that was for a double quilt for my daughter who has moved out of home recently and is still trying to put a home together....I know I'm just too soft for my own good....but I did resist from buying my niece a little play table that was going for £8 in asda!!! Oh and I still need to put some petrol in the car..... I don't think I'm getting the hang of this money saving thing as quick as I would like :confused:
  • Nothing for me!
    Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

    Wow £5 :eek:

    A few other things that are cheap- tuna, jacket potatoe/beans, soup, you could make BIG cassorol eat that for the week. Are you a veggie?
    Sainsbury's do cheap chicken wings 99p.
    Best wishes

    Thanks! I used to live on less when I was a student (12p bread and 6p tins of stuff) but I did actually make myself malnourished :doh: and thats just silly!

    Thanks for tip about chicken wings - I usually feel really guilty for buying cheap meat (not veggie but dont like to eat meat thats not organic) - but I feel like needs-must at the moment so I'll definaately be adding that to the menu next week!

    I also spotted 65p cans of irish stew in Sainsburys, which I've written down as an idea for next week (sounds dodgy but i reckon it'll be ok with homemade dough balls and maybe some left over veg added in) - I may look a bit sad with my notebook in sainsburys but you should see the faces of everyone behind me in the queue when I've put two bags of shopping through and only hand over four quid ;)
    When in doubt - have a cup of tea
