Buyin house Seller not ready to move.

To be fair I'm not expecting anything of someone else that I wouldn't do myself. We said we would move as soon as our buyers were ready. Our vendors said they would move as soon as we were ready. We are sticking to this, our vendors are not, simple as!
Read again. Wouldn't *want* to do yourself. You've made clear that it isn't what you want to do.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

If I'd realised you came here under the pretense (What pretence?) of asking for advice for us to get this far down the thread to find out that you are doing absolutely nothing about it ( doing nothing about what? I wanted advice on what to say to a vendor who is not ready to move after promising they would what am I supposed to to do) and in fact just wanted to have a whinge, I'd have allowed you to do so without posting here myself. (no-one made you post! or continure doing so!)
I think it's ridiculous that you can't do anything with your buyer for the sake of two weeks. (So do I but as I stated I made a promise I intend to stick and do not want to risk annoying the buyer, its already taken a long time to get to this point!)
My business is doing just fine thanks.(I'm very pleased for you) I know what I'm doing.(I never suggested you didn't) I've nothing to be bitter about. I'd thank you for refraining from personal insults. (Which part was a personal insult?, I certainly didn't intend to personally insult you however if you feel this way then I of course, apologise.) You asked a question, I answered it.
I just shared a trying time for us with you to help put things in perspective for you. I've also seen it that many times that I know that mostly it can be dealt with without anyone being properly inconvenienced - waiting two weeks shouldn't count as much as being made homeless which is what your buyers are doing to you.
As I said, we'll just have to agree to disagree but thank you for taking the time to reply.0 -

So, let me get this straight, you are actuially moving out of your place on 3 April? Where are you going to be staying? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Yes we are, prob with parents or in caravan for a week or two, not quite sure yet but will sort something out.0

When we last moved, we had a very large removal van full of stuff. What will you do with your furniture? Put it in storage?
BTW, if you really are in that position, why not just become a STR'er? Rent for 6 months and see what property prices look like then.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
We're depositing stuff all over at the minute, but some furniture will go into storage for a bit. TBH we were planning to STR but the house we are buying is one that we've really liked for a long time and there is not a great deal that comes on the market in the area that we want with some land attached to it, so we've decided to go for it.0

Hiya
I am in a similar position, my (first time) buyer wants to be in next week, the dream house we want will not be free for 3 months.
I was thinking of stayin with family but that would mean us being all over the place (there are lots of us) and my eldest is doing her GCSE's so not great timing.
I have decidsed to rent but will have to pay 6 months rent even though I may only be in for 3 months!
I never want to move again! I do agree with Doozergirl regarding her view of the FTB mine is a nightmare.
