La Tasca Vouchers Discussion

  • I used the voucher on 2 occassions in the Bluewater La Tasca & both times I found the food lacked taste and of poor quality & could have cooked it better myself. I never found this problem prior to the voucher being made available when using this restaurant. So now even with a voucher available I won't bother using this restaurant.
  • I went as part of a group last November to La Tasca in Cambridge, the food was okay...I am fairly fussy though so it can be hard to please me, I did eat it all however so that is a good sign. I liked the atmosphere whilst dining but wasnt too impressed with the staff service, this was only enhanced after they had the cheek to add a big tip to the bill! I usually always leave a tip behind whther the service was fantastic or just okay but when they just assume that they deserve a tip I ask for them to remove it, I think it is being presumptuous and rude. I am due to go the the La Tasca on Deansgate this Friday and am hoping that the service is a little better and the food is not as bad as some people seem to have experienced. Just a quick question though, do you present the voucher when you enter and sit down for your meal or when you are paying for your meal?

I usually tell them when I get there that I have a voucher (I just say I have one is it OK to use it). Than hand it over with the payment.

  • Tried out the voucher in Leeds this evening with no problems. Mentioned it on arrival (as suggested by adouglasmhor) and was informed this was fine. Shared about seven main course dishes between two of us which were lovely, bottle of second cheapest wine (money off, but not included in 50% deal), two delicious puddings and MSE voucher free coffees and the whole thing came to just under £25.00 minus tip.
Service was friendly without being intrusive - will definately go again. Bargain!

it is such fantastic value with 50% off!!!!

    last night we had:
    3 half pint San Miguels
    bread & oil
    fish goujon starter
    chicken and chorizo paella
    chocolate torte
and 2 free teas (instead of coffee)

all for a total of £20!!!!!!

i've taken my mum and nan in the past, both loved it.

been with the bf a couple of times. there is a really nice atmosphere in there, like the Salsa dancing nights, and the free wine tasting was brilliant.

they don't cut back with the offer either (unlike Pizza Express, who's pizza's lack any good toppings)....we had so much.

i even filled up my work lunchbox with the leftovers....now that's what i call money saving!!!!

Just back from Victoria Square Belfast La Tasca - ordered King Prawns with lemon, received 1/2 lemon that had blue and white mould on it! Unbelievable how could kitchen staff and waitress not see this. Told waitress who quickly took the 1/2 lemon away, I had to tell her to take the prawns too - they were probably sitting on the same place same length of time as the lemon. Waitress didnt ask if I would like anything else. Or offer anything by way of an apology. Big disappointment, definately wont be back.

50% off tapas to share from 5th to 25th April

You will probably need to sign up to get this voucher. The one mentioned in Martin's newsletter has expired, so I did a bit of searching and found this one.

I took down the 50% voucher to La Tasca in Glasgow only to be told it's not valid in Glasgow or Edinburgh - seems only a few select La Tasca's do this - complete bummer. WHY La Tasca are you not offering Scotland a 50% discount.
