Morning Everyone, lovely to see everyone being so positive today.

I think I might have a look at some bedding plants today too, spring flowers always make me feel cheery.

I am having a posh lunch today in the Colleges Gourmet Restaurant, 3 courses for £6.50 it really is worth checking out your local college for offers like this and the food is usually of excellent quality.

Just had a battle with DS1 who has decided as its an enrichment day at school he cant be bothered to go in:mad: I have decided to let him stay at home to work and have asked him to show me some GCSE coursework that is incomplete so I can check on his progress when I get home (sometimes it is handy being a teacher).

Have a great day everyone xx

    Morning all :hello:

Lots to do today - the 'Rents are arriving this evening so need to do a spot of tidying, strip our bed and make a dinner that can be re-heated when they arrive. My angel Mum is bringing their bedding and towels so I won't have a pile of washing to do when they go :D

Must pop out and get a card and some choccies too...

School run, then quick trip to get bathroom tiles, quick whizz round Tesco as I've guests for sunday lunch, home by 12 as N Power are installing a new leccy meter (turns out our bills are so big (£120 pm) because we have been paying high rates for Economy 7 since 1990! EEK!!).Mow lawn, plant some pansies etc for a bit of colour then schoolrun again. DH still in Hong Kong.....have a great day all-'specially you Bookie, great to see you in a positive mood!!!!Well done!! SRM xxxxxxxx

What's this about Economy 7? I have a that but don't use much electric in those hours.

Lou - too early for bedding plants unless you have a greenhouse - frost and sleet forcast here next week. Plus everything is dearer this week because of Mothering Sunday. I just looked at some Primroses to do a hanging basket but will leave until after Sunday!

Morning all. Renewed by phone contract yesterday and awaiting arrival of my new phone today. :) 24 month contract but the bonus is they've cut my bill in half (now £14 a month) and I've got a new phone. so saving money and have happy new phone :D Who said contract renewals are a bad thing. :)

    morning all -

I love this new positive thread! And lovin Lenny Dalai Lama esque quotes! lol!!!

I'm positive today too.... erin was up before me this morning, (hopefully not the beginning of early rises for her) and came into bed for a cuddle first thing, which i think has set me up nicely for the day...!

Also, i lost another 2.5lbs last night so that is good... 32lbs now altogether...

then we had an indian!! lol! although to be fair i only had the chicken tikka breast starter with the salad and a spoon of Erin's korma sauce and some korma chicken.... no rice, no nann bread and just a couple of popadoms... it was delish! but i was stuffed!! I could have been a lot naughtier than i was so not worried!

Bookie, it's great to see you so positive, i know what you mean about this place, my life would be very much the poorer by not knowing you all (virtually or otherwise!)

And hey... it's Friday! that's a good thing innit!!?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)
