Being new build the gardens are not gardens but practically grass verges. Most new build estates have green areas close by for this very reason - the builders are usually made to pay for local leisure facilities such as community centres and play parks.
Its quite a rough area around us and all the road is in agreement appart from these neighbours. They have every right to hold a different opinion to you.
If they dont like it then say something nicely dont go round shouting the odds and slaggin people off. They just rub peoples backs up the wrong way if they aint doing themselves any favours. All it takes is a nice word with the people round here, we are all proffesionals Did they feel able to make an approach? Forming a gang isn't a very professional way to deal with this is it? You've continued the "us and them" mentality and holding a "tournament" was a childish response to their concerns, eh? and really nice people (apart from the nuisance factor of playing ball in the road) and have all said the same thing. Being as they are so agressive about it then sod them, its just rubbed everyones backs up.
I've added the bits in red....
You have all formed a group to the exclusion of the minority and you all pat each other on the backs and tell each other that you can do what you want because you all (apart from the minority) agree that you can - that makes you..... bullies:mad:
It is against the law to play football in the road - get used to it!:hello:0 -

My previous post referred - Is your attention span not up to reading the whole thread??? How long did your "struggle" to find the info last?:hello:0 -
As Spartacus has rightly suggested already, I also recommend www.nfh.org which is a forum dedicated to nuisance neighbours and neighbour disputes :T0

My attention span is very good in fact.
Its certainly better than yours who fails to comprehend "It is against the law to play football in the road " ONLY if it is an that it is an annoyance to a user of a highway.
So basically if playing in the street annoys a someone cycling or driving etc it can be deemed an offence.
Dont make up the law.

You know that I didn't make it up, after all you found it following my hint didn't you?
In this case the neighbours have been annoyed. I know... I've got a great idea, they can get in their car and start the engine and roll off of their drive and then.... it's an offence - satisfied:rotfl: ?
How can someone playing ball in the road fail to annoy?
:hello:0 -

Oh dear, has someone taken your ball away so you can't play in the street anymore?:rotfl:
"Imaginary cyber friends"?? Why not? Better than taking offence from "imaginary" posters who simply differ in their opinion.:hello:0 -

The only other alternative is proactive. A show of strength with all of you, as one person. That you will not tolerate this anymore.
This really struck a cord with me as we have an empty house next door to us, three kids between 10 and 14 were kicking a football at it's doors and windows. Trouble is, you are actually afraid to go out and tell them off in case it gets turned against you.
What was worse was that two adults came walking along the street and they obviously knew the boys - they did not tell them off and they actually joined in kicking the ball at the windows and doors for a couple of minutes then wandered off down the street. Not a word said about "don't do that". These adults were in their late twenties.
I called the police who said " we can't do anything, we are too busy today" - fat load of good they are!
I only went out and said something to them when the ball hit off one of my windows accidentally.
The kids tried to weasel out of it but I told them to stop it and go away. which they did and they seemed embarassed to be told off but who knows!
Anyway literally 15 seconds later, the house owner drove up - wish I had let him catch them at it instead of me now!
