I've heard people talking about something called green metropolis for books too. Meant to say before but forgot, have never looked myself. Watch Amazon with the postage, I think I said before I lost quite a bit on mine, lucky it was a reasonably priced book that I wasn't that fussed about selling (some money is better than no money when it'll just be sat here being useless otherwise) otherwise I would have been quite peed off.

  • I think the way they do fees etc is a bit stupid tbh. Most of the ones I've listed so far are books I've supposedly needed for course modules and then either not used or only used a couple of times and they are generally pretty expensive ones, they were all included in my nearly-completely-funded course fees so I'm not fussed about how much they make, so long as there gone soon!

Yeah same here luckily, the books I'm flogging are useless to me so I'm not fussed as long as I make a few quid....a de-cluttered house de-clutters the mind and all that...I hate carp clogging my house up so regularly de-clutter, just wish I'd started eBaying before, I've thrown so much stuff out that could have made a few quid. Poor binmen, must hate me. :D

  • I wish I had the motivation to eBay stuff! I obsessively check up on stuff when its listed, I just really really really hate listing things. I think i'm going to dedicate tomorrow night to eBaying, going to try that Turbolist think and start the listings Thurs on 10 days, i remember reading that somewhere, anything to get a few extra pennies (well not ANYTHING:rotfl:)

  • Hi all,

I feel like i've got loads done today its just that hardly any of it is on my list. It's been all the little bits that keep cropping up and my sudden urge to make cherry flapjacks :rotfl:

    So anyway I've
    • Found the phone I'm envirophone-ing - just need to transfer all the pics off it onto my laptop and send it off now
    • Done my Tax Credits renewal thing
    • Cleaned half the kitchen :A
    • Done 3 loads of laundry
    • Been park for a playdate with LOs second GF
    • Made cherry flapjacks :p and washed up after
    • Done 4 surveys
    • Done my scratchies, 10p +25p - WOW... not!!
    • Tried phoning OU and jobcentre but there were both busy and I got sick of being on hold  Maybe they were on the phone to each other?!
    • Emptied the bin (wearing 2 lots of rubber gloves, i hate germs!!) and took the recycling out.
    • Had a bit of a job search and didnt even find one new job I could apply for
    • Played cars for ages....apparently playing cars doesn't get boring EVER!!
    • Checked my bank balance online (it was rubbish, roll on Friday)
    • Decided to check my Paypal since I'm redeeming some Lightspeed points for £7 - had £15.22 in there I forgot about :D
    • Chucked out 2 pairs of shoes and found a stash of them I'd forgot about.
    • Broke LOs £40 ELC keyboard he had for his birthday  (it was supposed to be £40 anyway, i saw it in the shop and thought !!!!!! off am I carrying that all the way home/on a train etc and ordered it online the next day for £25  +FREE delivery) Not sure where i'm supposed to get it fixed but it NEEDS fixing :o
    • Cleaned the fish tank
Bring on the EBay Turbolisting tonight :A

  • Still got nowhere with the EBaying  but I've got lots of other useful stuff done instead :o
I posted the phone to Envirophone this morning and my Tax Credits renewal thing. I'm so hoping they say 'actually we should of given you x amount more money last tax year, heres a lovely cheque, go buy shoes' However I don't think that's very likely :rotfl: So long as they don't decide I owe THEM money it's ok by me!

Already spent £30 today but most of that was creche fees, oh and I 'treated' myself to some fluffy slippers in Tesco (how sad it is that slippers are considered a treat)

Saw my ex earlier (not LOs 'father') and I felt kinda funny, think I might miss him now and I can't remember why I split up with him. Need to do lunch with the girls to discuss, our next big night out is supposed to be the 16th of May and I sooo cannot last that long without talking it through! And no doubt that night will mostly be spent cooing over pics of my friends baby if she hurries up and pops her out!

I'm going to try really very hard to get some things turbolisted once LOs napping, he's been out for a little bit and i've not really done alot! Gotta get cracking with something else i'll never get through everything!

  • They all start young these days don't they lol. He wanted to go on the park the other day til we got there.. 'I can't go on the park mummy, theres no girls'

I don't know if you can do that, I've always had my renewal pack through about 3weeks before my mum gets hers. I think they sort out the people who've been completely on benefits first then work there way through to more complicated ones so they can show they've actually sorted some people out lol. This is the first one I've had to do more than cross 2 boxes and sign at the end because I didn't get back to working til last tax year, I actually had to read the notes bit, just to make sure! My CTC went down by over £10 a week at the start of April so I'm hoping they bump it back up a bit! Although I would rather have more of a job and not be so reliant on it obviously!
  • I've got round to Turbolisting 5 things for eBay, just need to remember to upload them in a bit. It might not be the 20 I wanted but i've done the pics and weighed a fair few more bits and its better than nothing. Woohoo for me!!

Yeah maybe, I've only just realised that since April mines gone down by £30 a week which is a lot when it all adds up...must add 'search through file thingy for unopened tax credit letter wotsit' and see what it says. I change things so often I never even open them, if I had I would have known I was going to be £120 a month better off...hopefully it's a temporary thing, makes you laugh though cos I was getting extra for a Feb and March cos they'd underpaid my childcare!!!

Well Done on the eBay thing.
