  • Ok so to-do list not going so well, still have a certain amount of an increasingly dangerous disease commonly known as 'eBay-itis' anybody know a cure?? I've heard of one...think of the money and space and just get on with it!!
    MUST DO BETTER TOMORROW!!
Hopefully i will have caught up on some sleep by then, still feeling pretty drained from the weekend plus strange sleeping problems, grr.

  • Hi all,

Ok so with one thing and another I'm not being very productive this week, mostly because I've hardly spent any time in the house to be able to get alot done although at least I've not spent a huge amount of money. Kinda feel like I'm not getting anywhere, especially on the job front, I like things my own way and like instant results, I don't do waiting around for things!! I'm thinking about sending a CV and amazingly written covering letter to every remotely finance-y place in town to try and get some sort of entry level/trainee/apprenticeship position since I'm thinking of starting an AAT in sept (along with my OU degree and Bookkeeping course...ouch) and I sort of maybe do need a day job and maybe someone will [STRIKE]like my style [/STRIKE] pity me and give me some sort of employment. Considering IF I can make this happen it'll involve rubbish wages I'll still probably need to keep my current job too but I won't get the experiance necessary for a decent job without a bit of scivying, right? Also, I'm going to phone the jobcentre on Mon and get an appointment with the only useful person I've ever had to see down there and see about some of the million and one things she said could maybe help me out the last time I saw her.

I wasn't paid properly again, which is like the last 3 weeks running!! Gonna have to kick off later at work and probably score me an early night and free drinks; would be nice as its my friends birthday and I would quite like to see her at some point.

Anyhoo, gotta go and dig around in the freezer for something for tea, have a good MoneySaving day everyone

  • I've signed up to Butlins Bingo to do it on there and going to do TAB in a bit. Apparently if you sign up, deposit a tenner, do a free scratchcard which you'll win at least 10p on you'll be able to take your tenner straight back out. So long as you keep at least 10p in your account when you withdraw money you can still play the scratchcard (twice on Sundays) Theres a FAQ thread about in the gambling introductory loopholes bit (or something like tht) It's pretty useful and all free money!!

    Hi YM20,

Wow that's a list and half!!! I break mine into smaller lists, makes it less scary and easier to achieve. Whatever works best for you though is the better in the end.

  • Mine would be littler lists if I got round to getting more done! My LO's been a nightmare today, hes been constipated (too much info I know) and has felt the need to be as grouchy and miserable as possible, he even shouted 'shut up silly man' and some guy who was trying to be nice about his screaming when we walked past him earlier! Hopefully he'll sleep ok and sort it out tomorrow. He was up at half 5 so I am completely knakered bt trying to get some stuff done before I flake out. On the plus side, he fell asleep on me earlier which is something he very rarely does and it's always nice when they do that.

Oh, accidently spent £40 in Tesco, I nearly keeled over in shock but some of it was from semi-bulk buying discounted things and we had to get nappies.

Now gotta try and prise myself off here to do something more useful!

  • I officially love Amazon!! Listing stuff on there is sooo much less time consuming than eBay (even if the fees are a total rip-off!) 11 listed in about half an hour... result! Just gotta hope some of them actually sell now!! Fingers crossed, I need the space!
