  • Hello yummymummy20, just read your diary and thought it would be rude not to stop and say hi!!!

my council too are rubbish, i fell pregnant when i was 23 so me and my fella applied for a 2 bed council house as we both lived at home and his sister and her boyf and 2 kids also lived at his. Unfortuantly i miscarried and some insensitive woman told me we no longer were eligable (even though i said we would be trying for another) and said i would have to reapply for a flat instead but seen as we didnt have children we would be at the bottom of the list!!!!!! (she looked like she still lived in the 80's:rotfl: )

I used to work in a club on a fri and sat night too when i was at uni!!!!!! my advice would be DONT DO PRO PLUS!!!!!!!! i took it one night as had been on placement (student nurse) all week doing shifts so was sooooo tired. I felt as though i had taken something illegal and when it came to go to bed, i was wide awake and couldnt get to sleep for ages! took me ages to recover........................

i have 2 little monsters, one is 4yo and the other is 7months so have been laughing and nodding at your stories!!!!!

good luck with your journey, before i moved out of the 'rents house, i started a "bottom draw" (the attic) where i put stuff in for a house that i had found at bargain prices through sales, car boots, people wanting rid!!!! only really had to buy the big furniture when i moved out. Check out your local freecycle...............

  • Hi,

Busy weekend, totally forgot to update.

Re the Pro Plus, i have major issues taking tablets of any kind, no idea why. I wouldn't even take paracetamol when I was in labour!!
Aww there so nice at 7months, they do something new almost everyday, apart from the trying to crawl and trash everything thing there lovely at that age. My monster now has about an hour of 'brat time' a day, mostly before bed, theres no reasoning with him when hes got it on him but when hes finished I get kisses, cuddles and a 'sorry mummy' He cant help liking to have things his own way, he gets it from me!! :)
I have quite a healthy stash of kitchen and bathroom stuff which are the most important rooms and the monsters got nice bedroom to take with us so i only really NEED new bedroom stuff for me and sofas plus odds and ends but WANT lots off nice things that will have to wait.

So anyway, Friday, checked my bank and hadn't been paid half my money from last week, had a word with my manager and hes going to sort it and he gave me a wad of drinks vouchers so that I didn't kick off! i've had a slightly tipsy (but free) weekend and i traded some of my vouchers for a lift home so saved some pennies as well.

I'm going to stay up half the night listing things on eBay to make up for the fact i'm going to be spending a fair bit next weekend (friends 21st Sat and work do Sun, although hopefully Sun there'll be some free drinks out the staff kitty)

I've got a job interview this week and need to phone a few places tomorrow to try and sort some more out, it's pretty difficult to avoid having to use a nursery though and although I would get some help towards the cost with tax credits i'd still rather let my sister have the monster while i'm working so theres no cost, and she has to do what I want since between her and her GF they owe me £188 which is more than they earn in a week combined atm with hours being cut and such. I've been looking around for a decent nursery anyway though, so i'm prepared-ish either way when I find something - anything!!

Off to eBay me thinks... night all x
  • Right, ok, erm... confession time me thinks.

I might accidently of put £70 worth of stuff on the credit card that survived being cut up. Not even because I don't have the cash, just out of habit. It was nearly all clothes for the little monster; if i didn't know better i'd swear he slept in a tub of miracle grow! I even tried being good and buying stuff from Primark for himand nearly couldn't bring myself to do until he stood there talking to (read AT) some random little boy who looked like a head-to-toe next kid until I noticed his mum was buying half the shop. I told myself there'd only be for in the garden and doing messy things and I've forced myself to put some of the bottoms on him today. He's spent the whole morning going on about his new trousers and telling the 'pay lady' at the shop how sexy he looks, he doesn't care there primark, although he did complain on the way in saying 'we don't go here mummy' I think it's time to cut back on the shopping when a 2 year old comes out with things like that!! Oh and worse, on the way into Topshop 'mummy you don't like these, your not skinny!' followed by comments about how my boobs don't fit. Gok Wan mark 2 or what??!!:rotfl:

I'm officially gutted, just checked my online banking and found out my cash ISA has only made £1.66 interest!! that's sooo dissappointing, I thought they were supposed to be better than that!! Admittedly I did only have £200 in there but its been there for the best part of the year, that was such a waste of a time (even if it did make me feel all grow up and like I knew what I was on about financially)

I ordered some JunkFood t-shirts off BrandAlley weeks ago which have finally arrived....and are going straight back! I don't know why I bought them, I don't even wear t-shirts, ever. They make my boobs look huge and squished at the same time which is sooo not a good look or just make me look fat. I even tried to get the uniform changed at work because of my issues with t-shirts (I got a huge man-sized one and altered it so it was like a t-shirt dress, as close to feminine as i could get, in the end cause my boss couldn't change them)...and yet i still bought t-shirts :o

Anyway, i'm gonna shut up and get all the little monsters paintings we did earlier stuck on his walls now there dry.

There is no matalan near me, i went to one once and the til woman charged me twice for the same thing, never again!
TK maxx smells funny and i'm pretty sure the one in town doesn't have alot for his age range.
I buy him stuff from tesco sometimes, not jeans though cus he wrecks them quicker and they cost almost the same amount as Next anyway.
Asda's miles away, the only time his ever had stuff from George was with free vouchers with Bounty Packs or when I got the munchies on the way to skeggy, stopped off at the one in Grantham and ended up spending around £50 on complete rubbish.
The market - erm just no!!

I've paid that bit off before it even hits the account plus a little bit more, i'm trying to keep some money for my driving lessons (need to pay £90 next week have approx nothing towards it :rotfl: )
Oh my, those big red letters are scary Niall - i've frozen it and got my brother to put it in the back of the freezer, under peas. -please don't laugh to much- Peas freak me out ALOT, simple as that, it would have to be a bloody nice pair of shoes i wanted to get me to go anywhere near that card, but cus i have no savings i feel the need for it, just in case. Although the fact my precious card is near peas is having alot more of an effect on me than i thought.

I am far from a snob!! My brother accused me off being a snob the other day because I like to be clean and yeah maybe have a few OCD-like tendencies which even my manager laughs at me about, oh, and has a little song about (how pathetic is he?!?! )

The nearest Ethel Austin is in Nottingham and is (i think) near one of my favourite shoe shops. I don't have that kinda willpower!!

I've borrowed outfits for Sat and Sun nights out, what more do you want from me?? I've saved about £100 doing that, it totally balances out being a little bit naughty with the credit card.

Its only a little Topshop and since i get told off whenever I try and shop there I just don't shop for myself in town and go Notts or Highcross in Leics. I can just about deal with getting daytime clothes from Dorothy Perkins and i get clothes from M&S for around the house, I would never go out of the house in my trackies even though there not just any trackies...there M&S trackies. Which is actually what the shop asisstant said when she heard me whining about hoe people might see me buy them. It's like people in McDonalds saying 'im loving it' apparently... i don't eat there unless im forced to.

    Were they nice boots though??
Nice stuff is priceless, especially for little girls. I had one amazing pair of heels when I was in year 6, they were black, size 1, 3 straps, proper grown up heels though, i'd still wear them now if there happened to be any around in my size, I loved them sooo much. Quite sadly they're probably one of my happiest memories.
