Stick ten 1p coins to a piece of paper and put it in the envelope along with your name and address.

Then write to them 1 week later saying you sent it in error and they now have your 10p which they are not entitled to and demand your money back.

Wait for cheque and expect to be blacklisted from their mailing list.

We did register with the Mail Preference Service but we still get some junk mail. It's not a much as in the past but MPS doesn't seem to be 100% effective.

i also heard of someone who filled thier pre paid envelopes with ripped paper? or maybe they ripped the envelopes??? it was cos some of the bigger companies have automatic envelope openers (thats machines/robots to me and you!) and this would jam them?
i hate junk mail, but now i am looking forward to shredding it with my new shredder and adding to the compost bin as its needing more paper!

I'd be careful with the house brick/paving slab one.

I used to work for a leaflet company, and sometimes people would send things back, that generally had their address on, to us. We used to just tear off our address and return to sender, had some irate phone calls. But what's good for the goose!

Cheers for that, do you happen to know if anyone has taken over the Black Cat Cafe at Glynllifon, they used to do great meals there but the council quadrupled the rent and it closed.
