hi lucielle - I think as soon as satisfactory medical and references are in place... Just scared to completely believe it until the offer is unconditional since last year was so rubbish!

Because the job is literally on my doorstep - I should get to keep more of my take home pay to throw at debt repayment.

My DS is now 12 - so have talked to him about him perhaps picking up DD from school on a Friday - I would give him a little more pocket money and save £8 a night on after school club. If I finish early on a Friday - he may only look after her say an hour anyway. I am going to trial him picking her up this Friday while I am still off to see if there are any problems.

In some other good news I have been invited to a free short workshop Friday so am going on that - Am really excited - I love learning new things

    Hi SH,

I still haven't heard. Was promised an answer by close of play yesterday. The agent was there today in person but still nothing. So my positive head says if it was "No" surely they'd simply say that. If it's yes and they need further sign-off then it could be "Keep quiet until will have permission".

    Or am I kidding myself?

I've been offered jobs later than they said but I've also seen the first place candidate offered the role and the second place candidate kept on hold until they know if the offer is accepted. Either way - it isn't over yet...

Yeah - I could walk there even in my state of unfitness within 30 minutes. I probably will do that at least part of the year as even by car by the time I have parked it would take at least 15 minutes....

It sounds perfect for you. That's such a great result giving you time to build your own business too.

Time to feel rightly chuffed. (You know ex-work have to give an accurate reference...they won't mess with you!)

After the last year I feel like I can't trust anything until have an unconditional offer... I keep telling myself they are not allowed legally to say anything in a reference that they didn't bring up with me first but still worry... It almost feels too good to be true....

It is a great result and will still let me do stuff at night. I am also hoping I might have more time for friends and hobbies too!

Well I have accessed my internet banking records. I sent off my sick notes today. I have input my hours worked and holidays and reckon I am due about £1100 :jin sick pay, holiday pay and back pay..... even after tax and ni - Let's hope I am right! I should get that within 2 to 3 weeks.

What that does mean is that my credit card bill of £850 the other night doesn't feel quite so scary....

My overdraft is rising while I am off - but that should be resolved within 1 month of starting my new job. I can then go on to repaying our debts again which would be fab...

I got offered a credit card transfer today for 9 months providing I do it by 24 April - it is very tempting but I am trying to resist. If I take it I know we will spend more plus there will be a 3% transfer fee....
