Sounds like your doing well SH :)
I don't understand the website/domain name thing but I'm sure I'll work it out if/when I start my own accounting business (once I'm qualified and done a few years in an accountants first of course :))
I'm glad things are starting to look up for you :) Do you have to meet up with the client to do the life coaching? Or can you also advise over interweb? :) hehe could do with some tips probably

Hi Bevan - I intend to offer coaching to private clients via the telephone. I do offer a 30 minute consultation free but after that would need to be paid.

I've just changed my talk talk package so that my daytime calls are included - that should save us quite a bit a month - particularly if I start calling more due to my business!

Just sent my mum some flowers - don't normally do it - but felt I should. Got 10% off plus 20% cashback via quidco so hopefully it won't break the bank!

Don't forget professional indemnity insurance......a "must have" from the outset - even if you are only doing freebies.

Thanks Hypno - That's not in place for my coaching yet.... Last time I paid about £150 I think - do you know anywhere cheaper?

Well I have just done the dine in for £15 deal for M&S a few times and stocked up for the months ahead! I will save the wine for pressies during the year so it works out quite well.

I have found out that we already pay £49 for webhosting for a website that is not live at the moment. That is due for renewal in May so am going to try and move my website name to wherever I end up hosting the new names I have bought. That may also help reduce the spam if I take that email out of commission!

These are the people I use http://www.alanboswell.com/business-insurance/professions-service-industries/complementary-therapist-insurance.aspx

They are about the cheapest too - I use them because they are local, and they cover all my therapies, from reflexology to hypnotherapy.......I pay about £70 a year all in.

    Hi Hypno, Bevan and DC

Thanks Hypno. I visited the link but that wouldn't cover HR consultancy which I want to keep as an option as well. Being an NLP practitioner (which I have done an intro course of) would be covered but not the rest. So have gone through a CIPD recommended one and that way my Coaching and any HR Consultancy would both be covered. It is a lot more expensive though than yours.... at nearly £200 a year. That does give me £2M worth of cover and legal expenses insurance including jury duty loss of earnings cover. They have said I can pay them monthly over 10 instalments so at least not paying it all in one hit.

One person quoted £560 for the same level of cover!

DD won star of the week at school this week - so pleased about that!

I will ring business link on Monday (when new phone package kicks in so it is free)

Thanks Jellie - the fire pit is great fun!

Well today I have spent finding a site to host my new website! Spent £35 in the end which includes free hosting and website builder plus software - now if I could just get it to work! Seriously it is WYSIWYG style software so should be fine once my domains are pointing to that site!!! Still need to write the content!

Also been trying to get my head around facebook and twitter - newbie to both of those!!!

MIL is coming tomorrow but sadly not even started tidying up yet. Have agreed with OH he will go with kids to church and I will then sort out the house enough for said visit. It is something I need to do anyway - and I am desperate for some time to myself. I think it is because my brain is buzzing with possibilities! Nice place to be - but tiring!

Oh and I have an interview for the temporary local job I spent 3 hours applying for the other week! It is not for a week or so so have some time to prepare. I would still go ahead with setting up my own business and look to do some sessions evenings and weekends. Financially it would take some pressure off. It is the one that is less than 2 miles away which would be fab! Still need to get it tho!
