I started doing a hamper for my mil several years ago - now tells her friends how she looks forward to it - I daren't tot up how much it costs as I tend to buy and save tins and a few novelty bits throughout the year - so I'm tied to doing it for her now. But I suppose I wouldn't know what else to get her now lol.
Those flannel cakes look amazing!!

Those flannel cakes are amazing! But most are easy. I can do cup cakes, yule logs and reindeer - not tried the others...

Hi bevan - give it a go - poundstretcher sells 6 brown and cream flannels for 99p. That would make you 3 yule logs. Just then need a bit of ribbon to finish it off! I put mine on a bit of foil card after!

I have some silicone cases at home that I've never used and have to go shopping tonight so going to see if I can find a flannel or 2, said that I'd try and make one for a severely affected ME sufferer but said I wanted to try it first, if it works I'll post it to their friend so they can send it on
Hopefully bring a smile to someone who is a lot worse off then me

Go for it - I made them last year with my DD and DS. My DD was 5 at the time... They are that easy!
Bought my OH a t-shirt for xmas today which has a picture of someone from star trek and say "beam me up" :rotfl:It really tickled me. Got one for someone else - it says "Remember my name.... you'll be screaming it later!" :rotfl:£6.99 each in Sports Direct - was chuffed with that! Also got a No Fear shirt for £10.99 - original price £29.99 so really pleased - to get home and find the BB win meant it was also guilt-free shopping! even if it was only guilt free after the fact:oAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
