Hi all
Well I went for my interview this morning - looks like it would be an hour's commute and a fairly challenging role. My potential boss seemed nice enough! Not managed to speak to the agency yet so not sure of their view on me LOL!
I have spent some money today but it was planned
coffee £1.29 McDonalds
Printer cartridge approx £22!!!! Rip off merchants!
I still need to get petrol and ideally do a grocery shop - we've run out of marge....
An agency rang me earlier still trying to find out what that was for but the person is now stuck in interviews for a bit....
I also got rung by my outplacement service about some psychometric testing - she is going to send me some links by e-mail
Positive day so far I think! Now I just need to go and sign on!!!:o and then I need to get the kids from school. Considering going to a networking meeting tonight but need to book my place if going and arrange for OH to baby sit.... Time is running out:eek:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sounds like a good interview savingholmes, good luck with that. An hour's commute isn't too bad, especially if the job makes it worth while.
You've done well on not spending too much, I'm trying to do the NSD and so far only managed 2 days out of 8, I take it you don't count bills and stuff? I'm just counting if I don't spend on stupid things!0 -

Hi Swinstie - I don't count any regular payments like direct debits or school meals - I do count grocery and petrol which some don't. The reason I count them is to make sure I don't do lots of "top up" shops as that is what piles on the spending.
Well I survived my 2 JSA meetings only to find out my signing on day is a Friday and wait for it - I have to go back tomorrow too:mad: . I did pick up a travel to interview claim form however so will get next Tuesday's interview costs refunded. :money: Apparently they will pay travel to interview costs up to 30 times so that is something at least....
While was there waiting I got rung up about a 3 month job - decent money - commute costs paid so I said I was interested....
Another agency is still trying to get hold of me but they are interviewing so I am waiting for them to be free. This morning's interviewer hasn't given any feedback yet so I don't know what their perspective on it was... Apparently they still have a final signoff on the vacancy to go through so it may have a short delay anyway. I do want a few days of freedom :rotfl:
I managed to park in town for free so pleased with that - did succumb and buy some sweets tho - toffee bonbons from Humbugs - 69p! But not yet had lunch - so I am sure that would count as a cheap lunch - what do your reckon?
Anyway - need to see what there is to eat before it is time to head back out to pick up the kids! Where does all the time go?
I have booked onto the networking event tonight - my first ever - lets hope it pays off and I meet some people who can help me get a job!:cool:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You'll find the time - don't you worry my girl.
Awesome that you are getting interviews.
The job I was inline for has been put on hold (see my diary...). However, its not the end of the world. Not really. Hi folks!
Agency I sent an updated CV to really liked the new layout so that was positive too... Been submitted for a 3 month role...
Well no rest for the wicked - I went to a professional networking event tonight. I gave out 3 copies of the front page of my CV - and one of the people thinks she may know of a job... She is also going to help me with my upgrade document - how nice is that!:j
I also spoke to someone senior from an organisation that turned me down the other week - he told me I had had a lucky escape! :rotfl: I told him one of the examples I had been criticized on and he agreed with me I had given the correct answer! That cheered me up.
Today was far too busy I was almost crying with hunger and tiredness by the time I had my lunch/tea at 5pm! I must try to pace myself more
Karen you are welcome to drop in here anytime :rotfl: GG sorry the job has been put on hold - hope things work out for you soon :AAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi all
Well today I have done 2 personality tests (answered both differently to understand impact) which I will get feedback on Monday. I probably have to do a personality test Wednesday so I am trying to gage how honest I can afford to be LOL!
I've also been sent some links to some maths tests etc so I need to work up the motivation to do them soon....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Its all progress.... and considering we were told that the economy was going to have the [STRIKE]backside [/STRIKE](*insert word beginning with A here*) drop out it and there are trillions unemployed, the fact that we are getting interviews, ain't half bad.
