Bump - I am a bit short on lunch today - I bought a choccy bar but then seem to have left it in the shop - could be someones way of telling me I didn't need to eat those bad calories!

    'Choccy bar''Bad Calories'

There's something not quite right in seeing those two phrases in the same sentence, Tixy.

How can chocolate be 'bad'.

Next thing you know, somebody will be suggesting that there is a link between alcohol and drunkenness.

alcohol and drunkenness...really, do they go together? I thought it was the lying down that caused the helicopter to visit and the room to spin:eek: Back in the 1800s in the local town of Bromsgrove - they used to refer to drunkenness especially after beer as "oh be joyful" - in more recent times a local pub has started brewing beer called "oh be joyful". So you're not drunk you are just joyful:rotfl:

Evening all - I am pondering something, I happened to try on a lovely pair of shoes today, I tried a size 4 (too small) and a size 5 (too big) and I asked in the shop for a 4 and a half (my size) and was told "oh, we don't sell half sizes in the shop, you will have to buy them online" then she tried to sell me a pair that was too big saying that I could put an insole in them to make them bigger - I said that if they sold the half sizes then I wouldnt have to buy shoes that were too big and having bigger shoes is damaging to my health so I left the store:rolleyes: Lots of people have half sizes - so shoes should be supplied in half sizes:rolleyes: I looked at other shoes - Kurt Geiger and was told by the silly assistant - oh if you have a platform sole and a high heel then it won't seem as though you are wearing high heels. I explained that I wanted some shoes to wear all day and that killer heels aka limousine shoes were not going to cut the mustard with me..why do shop assistants come across as nincompoops?

I'm sure that not all shop assistants are 'nincompoops', but it is, sadly, a sign of the times that the 'profession' of 'shop assistant has been so eroded by multiple and 'franchise' stores that see 'sales assistants' as nothing more than an expendable asset - to be purchased at the 'least possible price'.

There really is little incentive for shop assistant to gain product knowledge - and certainly even less for the stores to 'train' them, as they would then have more value to the competition.

That's why I could never work in the store at ASDA. ;)

Anyway - that's my little Wedbesday 'rant' over - evening all. :rotfl:
