Today before my horrid experience earlier i also tried a foundation no7 that was SEL reduced to 7.00 (£2.00) with a perkie...but SS till said i couldnt use the perkie.

Please be gentle im still a VB :A and i have had a awful evening Bootsing..

My first post and its a mini rant...

My cousin kindly & patiently taught my mum and i how to shop in Boots correctly.. So after hours of training we were left to our own devices.
I made a little list today and collected my basket and walked around boots putting bits in and ticking them off my list. Mum and i always have the security man follow us around the shop for a start.. We must just look guilty..
So we get to the till and i ask the SA if i can put the items through seperatley.. SA said ok..
So 1st Shop - S&G Vanity Case and 2 S&G Gift bags - Pay and collect my points but no perkie?:eek: You can imagine the shock... So i said oh can i have one of them make-up vouchers... SA ... No i haven't got any in my till.. So i asked if she could get me one from another till.. So SA rings the Bell...
SA starts to put through my next lot of shopping made up of extracts and bubble bath etc.. i pay and the 2nd SA Come to the till... I ask for 2 make-up vouchers... SA Im afraid we no longer have any.. Oh!! Well can you override the till and put these No.7 Wipes through as £1.40..SA NO!
So i said well can you give me a refund then... SA ...WHAT!! You want to refund all this because you haven't got a Voucher... Urm Yes Please... Buy this time i had a long que behind me and i just wanted to get out of the shop...
But SA Huffed and Puffed and refunded my money....
So lesson tonite... Don't leave it to the last minute...

just a quick question, ladies.
i bought one perfume set of Girard this Christmas. and unfortunately, it stopped working after using for couple of months. just, the parfume doesnt come out...
how do you think, can i take it to the Boots store for an advice (exchange, CS call etc)?

What a blow Dizzy Shopper.
I have done that though, spent ages getting my shop to £5 to discover no more vouchers left. It wasnt too bad for me as I only had one shop. But you must have been very frustrated after working out lots of £5 shops.
Its funny how we see things differently though, some of the SAs dont seem to 'get' how important our vouchers are to us. And how we can spend ages working out each shop to maximise on perkie-ness, only to have them stare blankly and say they have run out :eek:

Manila, I'd def take it back. You could phone c/s but I would take it to the store so they can actually see the prob. Cant imagine you would have any problems getting refund or exchange though.

It takes a while to get the hang of it all, doesn't it ?

In your case, if the SA's had no vouchers left, I would have just kept my receipts and taken them to another till in the shop, like the pharmacy one, or the kids section one. There I would have shown the SA my receipts and said "the till downstairs etc didn't have any vouchers left, can you give me a voucher please".
I would have asked your original SA to refund the wipes though - no way are they worth £6.40 hard cash :rotfl: .

You would prob be able to get them in another store, but I wouldnt want to guarantee it. I have managed to do it once, take my receipt to a different Boots and after a bit of umming and ahhing and discussion amongst the SAs I got my perkie :j

i managed to get 2 perkies today on two transactions. happy about that as it seems many stores have run out.
has anyone seen any reduced products in boots in birmingham city centre. the shelf in the boots on the high street has gone or have i just not looked properly?
is there one in the bullring?

Yes, you should be able to get a voucher from another shop if the store you bought the items in had run out. SA dependant of course.

Have you tried self serve tills at Boots yet? They are a whole nother Bootsing experience :j
