Does anyone have an idea of what the new Boots vouchers will be on Wednesday yet?
I wonder what the ACM will be giving us!
As long as its not haircare or olay![/quote]
Hi jazzteddy:) I hope it is haircare and olay, because I won't spend so much money then as I don't need either. Mind you, not needing something has never stopped me buying it:rotfl:
Ah, I see, a bit of reverse psychology there, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Do you really think it will stop us setting foot in Boots though!
I doubt it.0 -
Went to Whitley Bay store this afternoon, nothing to report on at all - best advice I could give is don't bother making the effort to go!
I know it's only a little store, but honestly, do they not realise I've got perkies I need to spend? They don't stock any of the No7 accessories, didn't even have any wipes, and no sign of any GWP so I wasn't going to buy 342.OS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -
Did a few separate shops today, because I had Extracts vouchers to use (well, one acm and several mag).
Strangely, I had 2 new lots of acm vouchers that I definitely haven't had this month, up til Saturday anyway, when I last checked them. I got 5 TS 150 pointers, and 2 save £1 wyb Expert body skincare. They all expire today though. Don't know what you're playing at Mr B, but thanks for the TS ones anyway.
I have 5 perkies to use by Sunday, so I'll have to go a Bootsing again.0 -
I was in our boots today and sa said this was the last day for giving perkies, just incase anyone is try to make up a spend, hth, Teri x0

I tried the Sanctuary Salt Scrub sachet @ £1.26, that came with the recent Sanctuary gwp online special offer
I only bought these as the offer was on, but I must say they soften your skin and are really easy to use.
The Mediterranean Mint, Melon & Sugar Body Scrub is also lovely and smells fab too.
Plus it has been reduced to between £2-£3 in lots of stores, so is worth looking out for.
If anyone watched the tv programme, Grow your Own Drugs last night,
then you will have seen a way to make a lovely home made 'Salt Scrub'
with Mint, Rosemary and Eucalyptus leaves, chopped Lemon rind, black Pepper,
Olive oil, Vitamin C Powder and coarse Sea Salt.
If you want to have a go at making your own...as Mr B's offers are a bit pants right now,
here is a Linky to this weeks recipes0 -
Hey all, i have been trying to catch up with all the things that you can use your perkie on...
So today i went a bootsing as i havent been in ages, and i had a fair few perkies to use up, thinking today was the last day (but it actually isnt-dunno how i thought that)
Anyway i bought a few other things and i had 8 perkies to use up, so i couldnt see any of the CC holders, bags or other no 7 accesories apart from the No 7 sponges, exfoliating, and the gloves. so i decided to try it out to see if it was the right product first, so i took a gloves and a cleansing sponge which would equal 2 perkies. I took them to the SS tills and they all worked fine, i am never too sure how to use them with vouchers so i scanned them as if it were an item and it went thro and took of the £5 no problem so only 87p to pay for the gloves and nothing for the sponge (3.**), i did these in separate trans but i wasnt sure what to do with the vouchers once used as i thought it told you where to put them but didnt with me.
I did some other shopping in boots and decided to finish off the other perkies i had, but when i counted how many i had in my purse i counted the two which i had used (so i decided to get another 2 gloves and 6 sponges = 8 items instead of 6 i should have got if i hadnt counted the ones already used). Anyway done and dusted (perkies all used up). Or so i thought.....
Then i decided to check the other extracts range that folk have been talking about so i got a few items from that using the extra points on each item and on my way out the supervisor asked if she could see into my bag as she said the tally didnt add up for the number of vouchers used. I said sure no problem, as i had receipts for them all and i said i had vouchers but didnt know what to do with them once scanned and since it was last day anyway i wanted to use them.
She said they didnt end til the 29th! which i was suprised about so i checked and it did say that on voucher(dunno how i thought it was today). I said i can give her my vouchers no problems.
So she said she needed to go thro the items individually and count them....so she counted 10 items and i had only 8 vouchers....then i remembered about my trial purchase of gloves and sponge which i had double used those voucher for.....I have never been so embarassed.....i said i was sorry and i had miscounted which i had and gave her the 8 vouchers i had, i asked if i could return a product and keep one voucher for using after the changeover as i was now aware they were valid until sunday so i gave her 7 vouchers(kept 1) for 7 products and returned three products(2 were trials). She said it was defrauding Boots and i explained i had honestly miscounted the products as i had done them in separate transactions and thought i had vouchers for them all...and i said i had bought a few other things too which she wasnt interested in, just the no 7 items and their receipts so it looked really bad.....she kept me at the tills for ages and gave me a lecture on how to use the SS tills properly, apparantly i shud have just scanned the item and selected pay with voucher and then it would tell me to deposit it in a slot. And also at this point the other SAs had gathered round and were smirking....
Just to let everyone know so they know what to do with the voucher at the SS tills so they dont get lectured at and feel as terrible as i did.
Thats what i get for saving up my vouchers about 1 month ago and not bootsing since. If only i hadnt tried the products before now and not mass voucher using thinking this was the last day it would have been ok as i could have given her a voucher for each product...even though she would have still gave me a lecture about how to use the SS tills but it wouldnt be so bad as it looked like i had 'stole' the two products via the SS tills which i had used the first two vouchers on.
I didnt use adv card on no 7 but i did in a transaction i did on the till next door for the extracts so she could easily have my name....would they wipe out all the points i have on my card as i have heard of people getting that done.
I think i will have to give bootsing a miss from now on as pretty much all the SA know me from today and i was so mortified.....
i can understand where she was coming from because if i had only used one voucher and tried to get a lot of products then Mr B would be well out of pocket and technically be stealing but i did feel mortified at my mistake with the two products and i dont think she saw it that way.0 -
i think it is the last day today because they were taking all the small shelf signs down that tell you about the perkies.
they have also taken down the 1/3 signs down from extracts and the half price signs down for sanex roll on but both came up with savings on tills.I was in our boots today and sa said this was the last day for giving perkies, just incase anyone is try to make up a spend, hth, Teri x0 -
