I mean I know of a ton of people that have tried it in Beta form with all sorts of problems (Just not working as it should basically)

Needless to say I WONT be installing it for a few months as its pretty much guaranteed to still have security issues even if it DOES run properly

^^ this is what I was thinking....hold off for a good while, just to be sure....

I suppose that'll be the tell tale time.

Tried it, and it's dog slow at loading up. Creative's software autoupdater wouldn't work, so I tried to uninstall IE8 - computer says no!

Don't install IE8 if you use BT Broadband's McAffee security software - it is not currently compatible with it apparently.

  • Please, for the love of God, update your browsers to IE8. IE7 and IE6 are utter poo and we finally have something that comes close to basic web standards with IE8.

If you get a problem with IE8 displaying things 'incorrectly' its probably because you designed for IE7 or IE6 which meant you had to do a lot of hacks to get round the shoddyness of the browser. This will now come and bite you in the backside.

I'm hoping Microsoft issue it as a critical update

On the Microsoft link 'Mrebo' posted it says download now and underneath for 'Windows XP', does this mean it's not compatible with Windows Vista?

It's not expected to be be deployed via Windows Update until April 13th, which is about three weeks away, although there's nothing stopping you downloading it early.

Installed yesterday afternoon. Nothing unusual, solid stability and good performance so far, but then again I didn't really have any major issues throughout the beta stages.
