Thanks for all your messages. I had a lovely restful day today, isn't it lovely to see the sunshine out. Partner has spent most of the day sorting out the garden as its got a bit out of hand over the past couple of weeks - something to do with spring - and I just sat and watched.

Managed to sort out my accounts and wished I hadn't as I had spent £400 on my M&S card in the past few weeks, but some of that will be refunded as I have to cancel a scan and also we had planned a weekend away next weekend which we have also cancelled. Also realised that I had paid £45 off my A&L card and not my Asda card by mistake a couple of weeks ago - unfortunately on my banking system they are right next to each other and I must have picked the wrong one, bit of a bummer as the A&L one is 0% and the Asda one is 22%. Teach me to be a bit more careful in future.

Goiong to join fresians thread on busting my debt by the time I am 41 (October). This should be achieveable as we have decided to sell OH house but I want to make it my goal anyway to clear as much as I can by the time we sell and then any left over money can be used for our extension.

    PAD for today is £5.

    Have a lovely saturday evening.

Hello,My pad today is 20p.Really miffed that my payments have been so v small in the last week.I'm waiting to get paid on tuesday. Also feeling a little demotivated as I'm ploughing as much money as I can at the debts but money is so v tight. Our entire household income inclu benefits is £1450ish a month and after we have paid all bills, debts and groceries we have approx £110 for the month for the 3 of us.It's actually less if we have birthdays, christenings etc or dd needs new shoes-lol.Sigh.Just frustrated 'cos really our total debt isn't huge but the snowball says our debtfree date is 2015.And everyone seems to pay such huge chucks off every few weeks.Sorry if I'm whinging,I don't mean to,just a bit fed up as my debt payments aren't high enough but I have no room to breathe.Hope everyone else is ok,sorry if I'm nattering on! x

    Right, none of that!

You have paid 20p off your debt you wouldn't otherwise have paid. It's a little amount, but it's something.

According to your signature, this is what you have achieved:

Total shared Debt (Jan 2009)-£6284.31  £4654.65 Payment a day challenge joined 15/2/09- £1387.50 Feb 2009-Housing benefit arrears cleared :j Feb 2009-Electricity arrears cleared :j

    Which is amazing :D

Yes, some people manage to clear large amounts, but there are plenty of us ploughing in £1 a day or less (Especially nearing payday!) and we all know that Every Little Helps as that supermarket says!

Just out of interest, have you posted a SOA anywhere? If not, post one on the DFW board and people will give you loads of advice.

Chin up petal, all will be well.

    /peptalk :D

I know sweet,I know it's going in the right direction I'm just impatient I guess.I feel like I'm bit ungrateful as I got my ppi on my loan back last month and yet I seem to have overlooked how fab this is (apart from the initial buzz when I danced rd the flat-a lot!).Prob best to ignore me!I did post my soa up,but there wasn't anything I could do that i haven't done already ie scraping the leftovers off our plates and using them the nxt day for lunch-nom nom!Well you have to joke and laugh otherwise you'd cry.I know there are others in a worse situation after all it is just money, like just finding out my friend's godmother has terminal cancer.Makes me want to slap myself for being so shallow and petty about coins-hey if I keep talking,I'll talk my way into a positive mood again-hee x Oh I did join quidco yest which was exciting, till hubby pointed out we never buy anything :D

Chin up twinkles, i think we all feel like that sometimes. Our income is very low and although our debt isnt very high in comparison to some, for us it is too much and we can barely afford to pay more than the minumum repayments at some points! Dont worry we're all here to have a good moan when you need to, as long as you dont mind listening to us moan aswell!!
