  • Well, my first day trying to stick to a plan, I chose RED today... So far I have had...

Brekkie - 28g porridge oats soaked overnight in a fruity Mullerlight (thanks for that tip!)

Lunch - Big bowl of salad leaves, chopped mushrooms, red pepper, smoked salmon strips and a fat-free vinaigrette.

    Snack - 1 kiwi fruit

Dinner - Quorn curry concoction! Onions, red peppers, mushrooms, quorn mince, canned sliced carrots, can of mushy peas, can of chopped tomatos with quite a lot of curry powder stirred in. Sounds disgusting :o , but tasted okay and I have put the remainder in the freezer. Had this with a small brown roll with Flora extra light.

I have guessed that my HE A is milk for my cups of tea today, and my HE B is the brown roll. I think the mushy peas are synned. Anyone see if I did 'owt wrong?

I'll need to eat more fruit I think - I have nectarines in for later...

astonsmummy can you please post scotch egg recipey , i love scotch eggs :T

This is the way I do them.. Hard-boil the eggs. Take skin off syn-free sausages flatten out the sausage meat and wrap around the egg. Roll in couscous and bake in a preheated oven at 180 for about 30 mins.

For veggie scotch eggs, hard-boil the eggs. Make up a packet of Smash and leave to cool. When cold, cover the egg with Smash, roll in couscous and bake as before (I love these).
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • I forgot to mention in my last post that from Monday 28th September LIDL will be doing 6 packs of Mullerlight (standard, smooth) yoghurts for £1.20 (20p per pot!). This offer also applies to Muller fruit corners (x6), crunch corner (x6) and biscuit crunch corners (x6). Don't know if this goes for LIDL stores all over the country, but worth looking out for if you like Mullers...

  • Hi everyone - just found this thread and its great to see everyone supporting each other.
I am a SW member for the third time!
On the first two occasions lost the two stone I was aiming for and stopped going. Result - weight crept back on over the next year.
This time I am one pound off the two stone loss (after 12 weeks) and I am NOT going to stop going this time!.
Its only the thought that I have to be good to get a result at weigh in that keeps me motivated.
So dont give up when you reach goal weight. It free anyway so no need to stop going is there.
My consultant told us all a very interesting little story to keep us motivated after a "BAD" day which I would like to share with you......

If you have a vase of seven beautiful roses and one dies what do you do?
Yes - you throw it away and keep the other six.

You would not throw away the entire seven roses just because one was not as beautiful as the rest.

Remeber this when you have a bad eating day. Just because you have been really bad for one day there is no need to throw away the other six. Keep them beautiful and maintain your SW eating plan.

Nice to meet you all, I hope to visit again soon.

Has anyone tried the SW Three Bean Chilli (it was in the Oct 2008 Slimming World magazine but I think Ive seen it elsewhere too). I fancy having it with baked potatoes for tea.

I've made that this evening for my lunch tomorrow. I've had it before and it's scrummy!

Hi just been on another site looking for recipey and a lady posted this cake it sounds lovly , so tomorrow i'm gonna have a go .

    AMAZING LEMON CAKE .

    6 EGGS , SEPARATED
    9TBSP SPLENDA
    1TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
1 TSP LEMON EXTRACT (2 SYN - ITS MADE WITH SUNFLOWER OIL )
    GRATED ZEST OF LEMON
    2OZ SELF RAISING FLOUR ( 9 SYN)

    TOPPING :
1 tbsp lemon curd ( 3 syn for waitrose one - slightly less for others )

In a bowl , whisk egg whites until stiff .

In another bowl whisk egg yolks , splenda ,vanilla, lemon extract & zest ,
then add flour & whisk again .
Add egg whites and whisk until its all combined .

Line loaf tin with liner , pour batter in ( don't worry , it will nearly reach the top )
Bake for 15- 20 mins on 190 until toothpick or knife comes out clean , you may need to cover loosely with foil for last 5 min to stop scorching .

Remove from oven & spread lemon curd over , leave to cool , then cut into slices .

    14 syn for cake .
