Have wanted to holiday in France for years but hubby has always said no because he doesn't want to drive
Have been to Paris three times (on a coach trip) but would love to explore other parts of France in a big old camper van. I can but dream.
Oh i didnt actually drive, i didnt drive then, my hubby did, i was co driver;)
We drove through the alps, OMG at the scenery...
Had a two year old in tow though, (he's 26 now) and played the same kiddie music tape over and over and over and...
We bought meat, cheese, bread and wine and ate in the pine forests.
Nothing was booked, we took a chance on B&B's... Oh to be young and reckless again0 -

My OH would drive - he's used to driving on the wrong side of the road being that he lived in Germany til 6 years ago.
I'll have the pain au chocolat please, and mountains of hot choc with cream. Oh, and the wine sounds nice too. :T"I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -

OK, I know I promised to stay away since I'm no longer following "The Plan", but I'm just so proud of myself today that I had to share!
So the new philosophy is: "Eat what you like, but in dainty portions and multiple courses at mealtimes, taking much care to create delicious, quality dishes using the finest ingredients." So I got stuck in for the first time in ages! Focusing less on nutrition, more on taste:
- Breakfast - scrambled egg, veggie sausage and beans. Not the best start!
- Lunch - small spinach and ricotta canneloni; rocket and fresh basil salad
-- Pudding - 70g live yoghurt, manuka honey, cacao nibs and mashed banana
- Dinner
-- Starter - red Quinoa fried in coconut oil, then boiled with lemon juice, garlic and crushed coriander. Served in an Espresso cup with chopped tomato and pine nuts.
-- Main - shaved Courgette boiled in the leftover Quinoa water; walnuts and smoked tofu very thinly sliced and fried in peanut oil; real parmesan shavings.
-- glass of Rose wine
-- Pudding - chocolate sponge in the bottom of a martini glass, topped with rose-flavoured milky jelly, smashed raspberries and cream, with a sprinkling of Lindt dark chocolate on top.
-- Espresso coffee
Doesn't that sound simply devine?? And it was. All in tiny portions, of course, so I've got several more in the refrigerator to mix-and-match over the next couple of days... and I'll be ready to throw a dinner party at a moment's notice :rotfl:
Anyway, tell me to sod off if I'm annoying! But the main course at dinner time is low carb..?Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
