I think I'm heading into Ketosis now, my head has been fuzzy and felt quite nauseas (sp), this is how I felt when I did the cambridge diet (EVIL!).

Has anyone noticed an improvement with their skin/hair since low carbing? My hair has went very fine and thin over the past year, and It's nothing health related like thyroid etc, probably a poor diet! I take kelp tablets and silicia, but it doesn't help the plooks I get, which IS from contraception.

My skin has improved, i get dry patches but they have improved, altho, they are back due to me not being very lc of late.
And twice after having hi carbs recently i had nasty 'plooks' in nasty places.:D

I never get carb withdrawal, think its prob cos i'm a bit fuzzy and confused in the head all the time lately so dont notice :rotfl:

Actually i just remembered that on two seperate occasions friends said that my skin was looking rather nice, and its always nice and clear anyway so must be looking improved.

Mercy have you lost since doing the keto cocktail?

Also, do you buy it or make it up yourself from Teds recipe?

Dunno, chickend out of weighing myself :) Well really, when I remembered I couldn't be ar$d. Might have been a touch of the 'cluck' but really couldn't be ar$d. Does it matter? Don't feel any lighter and if anything my new boobs will av added a pound :) It'l be ok, I'll check it on the morn and let you know :) It's quite nice that someone's interested whether I've lost or not - ta, babe :)

I make it up from the recipe with the coconut oil and flax oil and take supplements for the fish bit. Think it's just about getting good fats in there early on in the day before anything else can get a hold :)

Just spent 1 and half hrs getting nowhere with bonusprint. Feel laggy n nakrd. Nice to know I'm in your thorts tho! :) Perked me up no end :):):)

Will av to go to bed as up early. Just wish I could've got more done ;)

    Big love sista!

PS I've never felt muzzie headed that I remember, bin doin this for 15 months now so might not remember, although I've gradually reduced carbs over that space. Also, may have been pi$t at the time so would'nt remember anyway:rotfl: Tis a nice way of life. I've got busters now! Never had them before :) That's me happy.

    Morning Everyone

    Up bright and early again!

I posted a lovely long post yesterday and the flaming computer ate it so I spat my dummy out and refused to retype as it took me ages first time round:mad:Anyway the brief synopsis was I got up and the damn scales were being mean and put my weight up by a lb which miffed me somewhat but onwards and upwards I continued and thankfully this morning the amazing boinging pound has come off again.I reckon this is due to AF being about to come to visit.

But its Saturday and this is the day I step off the LC bandwagon and treat myself to whatever I want to eat.I know this isnt an ideal way to do things but I find treating myself for one day a week really helps with the cravings cos when you fancy something lets say choccy you think to yourself that you'll have it on Saturday and the cravings disappear. So a naughty day for me and the boinging pound will probably be back on my backside again tomorrow:o

Mercy stop wimping and get your backside on those scales:DWe all need to know!

Mazzer I know what you mean about being big boned cos people never believe how much I weighed before I started losing weight as they reckon I never looked that big

Badger-Sorry you feel the need to go but as previously said keep in touch and let us know how you get on

Sazzy-Hope you have a nice weekend. My MIL is a right old cow so I hope that you have got a good one,I've heard there are good MIL's out there but after two marriages I've never had one yet.....Maybe I need to try for the 3rd marriage and see if I can get it right...........Hmm not sure hubby will be too keen on sharing his bed with another fella though:rotfl:

Mercy, i think you are very slightly mad :rotfl:
But in a the nicest possible way.

I often think of folks on here, even if i'm out with friends and something funny happens i cant wait to tell you lot.. Hmm, spose that makes me a little bit crazeeee too :rotfl:

Seems like a nice day, but i will be in work for most of it icon9.gif

Leslie, i have lost so many posts cos i keep losing my connection, it makes me go mad  and i feel like throwing my laptop around to teach it a lesson (see, crazy)
Used to think it was my internet provider but it is vista not recognising my network adaptor.

Think totm is imminent so i should get an accurate weight by tomorrow, gulp.. will see how much damage i have done.

Ah well there goes my alarm snooze reminder, so i'd better be off.
    See you all later.

Aw Mercy I think we all think about each other now tbh...we're like a wee band of merry....em..... somethings. I dont know what though. :rotfl:

My problem is by the time I've read down I alway forget to comment on things I was going to comment on. :o

Anyway, I agree with mazzers about you beind mad. :p:rotfl:

Talking of mazzers ...glad your [STRIKE]car [/STRIKE]son got home safely. Mine did too. ;)

For you peeps who are losing your posts..what happens? Do you get logged out? Or are you still logged in but the page wont refresh or what?

Lesley..like the boinging pound description. :D After I put on those extra pounds when I started cheating more than I was lc'ing...I seem to have settled at the same weight now for ages. So at least I'm staying fairly static until I can get my head in the right place to do it properly again.

Got to go into town today, youngest needs new shoes. Hoping to get in and out early and avoid MacDonalds at lunch time. Wish me luck.

Oh and sweet.......:p. First again. :rotfl:

Diet, not lack of exercise, to blame for obesity
Interesting to see, in the comments, people reporting weight loss by following low carb rather than low fat diets.

    Same research in the Telegraph.
