Hello fellow low-carbers
Menu for today
B - Buttery scrambled eggs
L - Salmon & spring onion (scally onions, alias?) mayo, babyleaf salad, 2 x small off-the-vine tomatoes, coleslaw
D - M&S pesto chicken & cheesy leeks(oh, how I have missed these)
Hmmmmmmmm, fellow low-carbers?? Posting my menu?? What could this mean??
Yep, I've re-started low-carb today!!Please, please let me stick to it this time!!
Feeling all positive & smileyWhat do you mean, that makes a change?! :rotfl:
Got stuff in the freezer & just been to Mr. T for more supplies so I have absolutely no excuse!! I have even meal planned for this week :A
I have been swallowing a huge amount of carbs lately & wallowing in self-pity but I'm not allowing myself to do that any more!! See what I did just there?? Eh, eh?? Oh, never mind!!
So, for the first time in a [STRIKE]good few weeks[/STRIKE] while, I feel justified in posting on this threadThinking maybe what Sazbo & Gaye said previously struck a chord
Anyway, have a good day everyone0 -
Badger, so glad you had a lovely time last night :happyhear Could this be the start of a beautiful romance??
alias, did you enjoy your chicken & marscapone thingy for brekkie?! I once had some cold leftover 'mazzers lasagne' cos I couldn't be bothered to cook anything else
I know what you mean about eggs - gets me like that sometimes but I've made sure I have alternatives at the ready - sausages, pork escalopes (2 big packs for £5 in Mr. T, should last me a good few days). Do you have omelette every day?? Could you jazz it up by putting some ham in or even just plain fried eggs make a nice change sometimes.
mazzers, lol at your youngest - he sounds like a human dustbin!! :rotfl:0 -
oh my - well done you xxxxx:j MFi3 wannabee :j

Hmm, I'm not convinced... actually I find it incredibly difficult to invest in a relationship having been single for so long. We got on well and he was nice but I'm excessively fussy / self-sabotaging!
And darn my bosses, they kept me hanging on for this presentation and then finally postponed it... so I've been left here all day with chocolates on my desk (they were going to be prizes for a mid-presentation competition!). Well done Sweet, I'm very proud of you. Nice meal plan.
Very impressed by the swallowing sentence. You're just far too perky for me today, think I need to have a little lie down...although that could be because I've only had a plum and some veggie soup so far so I am starving!
Glad you had a nice evening Badger. I'll be keeping my eyes open for updates.

Badger, I'm not sure you do 'nice'. And I don't think you do 'not much ambition'. Been there, done that already. Still, if he's 'nice' it might make for a pleasant diversion from time to time .......
Sweet, so glad you're back. I've missed your cheesy leeks!Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -
Hello peeps :hello:
I've had my dinner (ate all of the chicken) & sooooooo enjoyed my cheesy leeks, Gaye - haven't had them for ages!! It was like re-visiting an old friend!! :rotfl:
marrow, I hope you've had more to eat!! I'd have been wasting away on just a plum & some soup!!
I've just opened the (British) pork escalopes & there were 4 in each pack so I've got 8 days worth. The thickness is about equivalent to 2 or 3 pieces of bacon & I'll have one a day for brekkie with some sausages & maybe a fried egg. Yummy!! Should keep me going for a while!!Hey, I don't have a Miss Piggy avvy for nothing you know!! :rotfl:Oink, oink!!

Schizophrenia and LCHF thought this was interesting.
Sorry again for the Google Translation but I still haven't learn't any Swedish.
this is an Atkins induction under 20g/d carbs diet. Anyone suggesting it to anyone with this diagnosis may like to suggest that coconut oil or MCT oil would help the transition.

Just thought I would [STRIKE]bore everyone[/STRIKE] post my main meal plans for the next few days - the meals will hopefully stay the same but the days might change, depending on how I feel
Wednesday - Chicken fajita - I won't be having the tortillas, obviously, but will have the seasoned chicken with mixed peppers & mushrooms, grated cheese, sour cream & HM salsa.
Thursday - 1/4 pounder burger, minus the bun, with grated cheese & cauli/broc mash
Friday - Chicken curry (using Patak's Rogan Josh paste as this is the lowest carb one I have found) with broc/cauli
Saturday - Bolognaise/mazzers lasagne combo - depends if I can be bothered to put it all together in a lasagne dish before eating but the ingredients are roughly the same as mazzers's lasagne - will have with salad
Sunday - Roast chicken dinner without the potatoes
Monday - Hopefully leftovers from Saturday with cheesy leeks but, if not, I'll start a new menu plan today
I have everything in, except the chicken for Sunday, so I feel quite organised nowThe meals fit in with what my family eat as well, except their's will be supplemented with spuds/pasta etc.

Hello sweet, nice to have you back... now bloody behave yourself..
You dont need Pataks, try the butter chicken, tis a curry, and step by step instructions via video on youtube, is fab, and lc too.
Am back on lc, found it easy to get back into, even after my carbathon. Had cooked brekkie, and only had piece of cheese and a pepperami at 4.30. Had fried chicken breast and spinach in cream at 9pm so very good. Oh also had some 85% choc.
Great link Ted, have read before that wheat does something in the gut that can be a contributing factor in schizophrenia. Wish i could get my boy to try lc but not a hope in hell of that.0
