 Hello all, I'm just quickly browsing at the mo.

We've just sold the house and we've got nowhere to go :( and also re-locating  so I'm a bit busy just now, and doing it on my own as husband works away. It would help if we could move to one area of the country, but we could be East/South Wilts, Hants/Surrey/Gloucestershire/Worcs/Herefordshire

Edwardia, good reporting on that......report.....doesn't sound very convincing though! (When do they?)

Sorry to hear you aren't well Sheila.

Regards to all, keep up the good work! :T

Ordered a duck crown from Tesco, they're on offer at £5 instead of £7.50

Thanks Sheila, the cheese sauce isn't a problem though I tend to use philly rather than cream but it's the cauliflower that does for me. Not high in carbs but obviously high enough!

daska - I use flourless sauce recipes from The Dukan Diet and just use the full fat version of whatever. So far very tasty but needed to increase amounts to get enough sauce for 2 ppl.

I don't have probs with cauliflower at all but blueberries or parsnips and I'm on a sugar high ! :(

I'd go with giving up stuff in stages to avoid carb flu and because for some people it is a huge change. Personally I'm anti subbing eg Stevia, low carb bread, low carb baking, because I don't think it breaks the carb habit.

duck aficionados ;) I find Waitrose and Morrisons do regular offers..well done andrewsmum and Minihauk :T

murph, having moved 21 times myself, I feel your pain.. by the time I was 13 my parents would drop me at new house with kettle, tea, mugs and biscuits to supervise the removal men unloading :rotfl:

My cheese sauce only contains cheese :D but I get carb cravings if I eat cauliflower cheese :( I don't get if I eat it with spinach/ cabbage/ green beans so I conclude it must be from the cauliflower. It happened last night and I ended up scoffing cake! (So I've given all the rest away.)

Oh Daska carb cravings from cauli, how awful, I loves my cauli! It's my secret ninja veg and ends up grated to bulk out loads of casseroles & bake type dishes, Caulli pizza too yum! Never really eat it in florets unless it's in a curry.

Thanks Edwardia for the blog link, I'll have a good read of that.:T

All going well here, Mr avstar offered to cook last night and he struggles to make me anything low carb so fell back on the old staple...a fry up :rotfl: Egg, bacon, good quality sausages. Toms for me, beans for him.

Murphydog hope the move goes well and your settled soon.

I've done a blog update on how my clean eating & high intensity workouts are doing after 2 months of being strict, was gobsmacked to say the least!

Also, there's a voucher for £5 off £35 spend in Aldi in the Daily Mirror today.

Edwardia - my son and daughter in law use Able & Cole and say that they often add something extra in the box as a treat, which is nice. Veg are not uniform size but that is to be expected. They are pleased with them so will be interested to kno0w how you find them :)

daska - sorry about the cauliflower, it must be a bind :( How has the cake baking gone?

murphydog999 - tough when you don't even know where you are going - hugs xx

    avstar - doing well :T

Hi Serena51, why not let us get to know you? :)

Stomach a little better today but still have pain in back between shoulder blades. Eating a bit but being careful.

I was looking at the Dukan diet this morning and it seems to be low carb and stricter. It may be better for me if my cholesterol comes back bad again in July as it has oats and is low fat but I would really miss my nuts, berries, cream etc. It is also strange that it assesses my goal weight nearly 2 stone heavier based on age etc
bossymoo - have you found the same?

schoolhouse, sunnyday, nuttybabe, gloomendoom, mazzers +++ how are you doing?

Sheila54 - I didn't choose a box, if I had I could have gotten a cook book free and 4th veg box free too. I just prefer to choose own veg. OH looking fwd to organic cheese and ham pizza ( 6 x 5" pizzas for 7.99).

Serena51 - welcome back :T have PM'd you blog URL

Mercy - I found Korean kimchi 2.65 for 3.69 at https://www.waiyeehong.com so you should be charging for yours  Found water chestnut flour which supposedly is good as a low carb breading so I'm trying to see if I can get together an additive-free order.. wish me luck :D
