Speak of the devil. He's just emailed to see if I want to meet up on Thursday. I'll just check my diary...

It's so annoying to have a plan and know it will work, but that it will take at least a couple of years to sort it:mad: I want to get it all done now!

You see i think that is why I am in debt in the first place, cos I can't wait for anything it all has to be NOW

Anybody got any ideas for 'no spend' treats? Things like walks etc just don't do it for me :o Everything I see as a treat involves spending - and often involves calories too :o

Hmm, it is difficult because I agree, all treats seem to involve money, calories, or both. What I am trying to do is make sure during the weekly shop there is some chocolate, wine and biscuits etc, so that if I do want them I don't have to go to the shop and potentially spend more. I have realised that I cannot keep cakes in this house. You could have a go at seeing how much money you can make from quidco and then put it aside for treats?

I try and do things like my nails and a facial using expensive toiletries that I found in my decluttering.

Walks nope. do nothing. I quite like gardening.

Today in Sainsburys I was walking round looking for a treat cos I had a filling (big deal in my world) and I couldn't justify anything bought practical stuff instead boring (labels, tipexx, toothbrush, post it notes, stickers) !

I really can't think of a single treat that is free. I suppose the best we can manage is low spend ones, ie will have to start thinking of clothes and shoes as considered purchases rather than well deserved treats. I think of a treat as along the lines of a nice bar of chocolate, a book, a magazine, coffee and a cake etc. Not exactly breaking the bank, but they still cost money.

When I have got myself straight again in a couple of months I might start using my quidco money for treats, had been saving it for when I get a house but I think I need to scrap that plan for a while.
