What sort of skirt are you looking for? I love the tulip shape ones but they look awful on my tulip shape body

I like A line or bias cut ones, just below the knee, they are really the only shapes that suit me. Not overly impressed with Next or Laura Ashley, am having a quick look at M&S and will go for a proper look round the shops tomorrow.

    Hey All

I'm back and had a really fab time away.

Was on canal boat with my parents for a week which was actually pretty fun - even the locks!! (I kept thinking how good all this excercise was for my bingo wings......) We were so lucky with the weather and I def feel like I've managed to get a bit of a tan. :j

It was all very civilised, we'd sit down in the evening and listen to the proms on radio 3 with a glass of red, and I'd get out my needlework and my mum would get out her knitting.

It was very relaxing and I did enjoy the whole thing (although my mum does still tell me things like 'put on a coat, it is cold out there' even though I'm 33 and manage to work out when to put on a coat for the rest of the year)

I'm hoping to get organised tomorrow and get my washing done and do a supermarket shop ready for the week ahead..I might even work out an outfit ready for Monday!!!

RE: boots - I quite like the Enna boots right at the bottom, like a bit of detail. Although completely agree re: those lovely red boots, Skint, they are ace and great for autumn.

I was in River Island today and they have some very nice beaten up style boots - but didnt' try them on. They also have a really fab, high pair of black & gold shoes which were BEAUTIFUL - but quite expensive and not at all practical.

RI have some really fab accessories...their bags and shoes are really good.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    Yawn, hello everyone,

Welcome back makeup & so pleased you had a great holiday :D.

I think yesterday was the last day of summer, today is very autmnal out there. Final wash load of the weekend is done :jI've reassessed the contents of the airing cupboard & as usual come to the conclusion that only DDs school shirts & my linen trousers need to meet up with the iron later.

Whizzed up to the allotment earlier & did a spot of weeding, collected some carrots, courgettes & apples.

DD has done all her homework for the week, I've just converted some survey points & got here Now 7,375,000 as a birthday gift for a mere £1.98 ( £10 in HMV vouchers - thank you lightspeed - & should get about 50p cashback through Quidco as well :). A craft set she's wanted for ages has just appeared in Argos ... no prizes for guessing who's just converted ipsos survey points in £10 of Argos vouchers ;).

Good tip as regards the wine being a grocery sarah ... unfortunately I've pretty much blown the whole of this weeks budget already :o. I have about £4.60 left until next sunday. That's fine though, because according to my receipt from last night a Pink Elephant only costs £4.24 :D

Think I have completely screwed up this months CC payments  will need to reclaim the £100 sat in my ISA . Oh well, it wasnt like I was going to get to £3,600 by april anyway :rotfl:
