Just popping into ask if you've been shopping yet sarah .Come on girl, the suspense is killing me :D. I dont know how you can possibly wait so long .....

:rotfl:I have my eye on a few things, have got my Barclaycard at the ready:D I did promise myself that I would only get things out of my current account or I couldn't have them, but Autumn/Winter clothes shopping is exempt as it's my favourite thing and I do tend to spend quite a bit.:o Am going to buy everything over the internet after checking out the real life versions as I have some codes to reduce the cost. Will report back tomorrow:D

Also need to do another grocery shop so will have to look for some codes/free points for that.

    Today's list

    • £2 coin in pot
    • read papers online
    • got a voucher through the post for a free drink at Starbucks:j

Hmmmmm, have checked out the pink rug - it's fab :) but cannot remember where I hid my Barclaycard so I cant have it, which is a good thing, because I am using a savings account where any £2 coins, pennies, & Quidco money go to live for all my homes furnishing/improvements. The amazing thing is that I cant find the card for that account either :rotfl:.

I feel like I spent most of today in the car. Drive to Gatwick to collect aunt, missing the exit because some idiot foreign lorry driver cut me up . Arrivals is a fab place to go people watching though, all sorts of humanity there :D. Found car with no problems but did feel slightly sick at car park costs £4 for an hour . Drive home was hideous, a go slow for no apparent reason for 3 junctions with white van men attempting to barge their way in front of me . Quick lunch, collect DD from school & then drive aunt to her destination. Quick chat then drive home again.

The Pink Elephant is by my side & I have a dilemma. Have accepted an invitation to a party/barbecue tomorrow. It's going to be the last time a group of friends gets together for this event. This is where I first met xbf 3 years ago. I hope he wont be there, but have the feeling that if he finds out we are going then he might try to tag along . I've decided we're going either way & just hope it doesnt get ugly. I can be relied upon not to make a scene & to maintain dignity & decorum ... not so sure about him though

    Hey Shoe Gal,

thanks for your words of wisdom & encouragement :A. I am determined to go, the hosts are moving away & I'm not the type to stay home to avoid potential confrontation. If he hadnt re emerged recently I probably wouldnt have thought about him possibly being there . I'm just a bit concerned that in his mind 'we' still have something going on _pale_. I'm happy to unleash my uberb!tch on him to make it very clear, but would prefer not to do it in public :o.

One aspect of my new plan is to accept social invitations & new opportunities whenever possible so tomorrw I will be buying some sausages & being grateful that the holiday tan is still evident :D.

So tired & need my lovely bed, enjoy your sleep

    Lula xx
  • Hi all, have been shoppng as instructed:D I bought 3 tops for £130, after discounts it was £100 :j so am now banned from the £100 clothes challenge:D:o I knew it would happen now, but to be honest I am impressed that I got so far, so I think I will get a few more things between now and Christmas and also the sales and join the challenge next year if its still going.

Have had a lazy day doing not much:o but am going to do some more decluttering tomorrow, am going to aim to fill 2 bin bags with rubbish.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

  • I bought them over the internet, I have seen them in the shop but had a code to make it cheaper online, not sure how they will look as I didn't try them on in the shop (I hate trying on clothes, I always buy them and try them at home) but they do look nice on the hangers at least:D.

I bought 2 wrap tops in black and purple and a jumper in chocolate, have just noticed that they are all 100% wool, which I try to avoid as I am not sure of how to wash pure wool properly, does anyone know? Am going to be very unhappy if they shrink:rolleyes:

I was going to get some scarves but decluttering my wardrobe produced at least 5 wearable ones, so that's that sorted, I can't really justify any more shoes or boots just yet (although some knee high black boots will be mine when I lose enough weight to be able to do up the zips:o) and I have more than enough trousers and work skirts (if I could just lose a stone:o) so that just leaves pretty skirts to get, so I will have a look at Next/John Lewis tomorrow. Also, I don't really need any more underwear, but I want some, so will have a look at that as well. :D

Sarah's (finally ) been shopping :j

    Happy New Clothes :D

I probably shouldnt be encouraging you, but I am so impressed that you got this far I think you deserve a little splurge & they sound gorgeous tops too. As to pure wool hmmmm  I usually start by handwashing in very soft detergent but after I've done that 3 or 4 times I bung them in the washing machine on the cool/delicates/wool wash. I actually put 100% cashmere stuff in the machine after a few handwashes too & it hasnt shrunk yet.

We've been to the pool/barbecue party & had wonderful time. The water was warm, it was cloudless sunny afternoon, there was plenty of food - I baked hobnobs & didnt eat any - just stuck to the salads - iot was great to catch up with frineds I havent seen for months & best of all there was no sign of you 'him' :D.

On the down side I seem to have developed a Pink Elephant addiction . I had to stop at the shop on the way home to get a bottle as I ran out last night. It's so yummy I just have to have glass or two :o.
