Hmmm, I've achieved getting up, drinking tea & eating toast & honey .
I've just pledged to give up biscuits for the whole of September on Bowski's diary, what the hell was I thinking. I'm off to vist my grandmother later & she always has those yummy shortbread ones so will have to stock up
.
Jeeez my head hurts & I feel so yucky that I might well give up alcohol for a month too .
How much holiday do you have left now ?
I'm back to work on Tuesday & have decided to just potter & pamper today & tomorrow0 -
So who is up for a fresh start in September?
Any pledges? Any plans?

I am back on Tuesday too - and am a bit cross with myself that l didn't get anywhere with the big list l put on my diary  but l have really enjoyed my week off, caught up with some friends - and chilled out loads so not really beating myself up about it
Have big plans for September - have that 'new term' sort of feeling although l have no kids - and it's a long time since l was at school :rotfl::rotfl:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Hi all, have got a new plan for September:D
- lose 7lbs
- put all overtime money into ISA
- put anything left at the end of the month to house fund/cc
- all quidco money into quidco account
- no take aways for the whole month
- £100 treats money
- all paperwork filed correctly
- place a matched bet
- sort out new job application
- no buying books- have a massive pile here waiting to be read
- sort out wardrobe- anything not worn for a year which I can't see me wearing again goes to the charity shop.
- no buying anything for a house I don't even have yet:D
- no new clothes or shoes:eek:
So hopefully I will begin October half a stone lighter and much tidier.:D

How are you feeling now Lula? I hope your grandmother's shortbread biscuits have helped, any chance of sending some this way I luuurve shortbread, especially with a cuppa. Potter and pamper sounds like a fabulous way to spend a bank holiday weekend. Enjoy!
Buffy.. September is going to be the month for us all I think. It's close enough to xmas to have an aim. I always like to lose weight in time for putting it back on at xmasAnd of course everyone has to tighten the purse strings in the run up to the big day!
Shoe Gal I'm glad you're not beating yourself up about not gettin your list all done. I think having a good time is priceless and leaves you with great memories. We all have to miss out on things at times due to work so why not spend your week off doing everything you can. You can always start on that list when you're back next week.
Sarah your new plan for September sounds fab! and can most certainly be acheived! Good Luck
Ohh talking of xmas I'm getting all excited about it now :j :j :jInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Hey All
Firstly thanks to Dan & Gwen for the maths lesson - I get it!! See I'm learning so much as part of my MB journey!!!!
I've had a brilliant but expensive weekend. I booked some stuff for me and my friend to do this weekend ages ago before I made my 'saving not spending' vow....
We had such a good dinner but was eye-wateringly expensive. Thankfully I have some money in an old bank account which I can use, so won't affect this months money.
Then this afternoon we were down on Southbank where they had a 'dancemob' - we all learnt a dance and then went down to the riverside to perform it! It was soo much fun. My friend wasn't that keen on it but in the end we had a great time!
Tomorrow is CARNIVAL :j Can't wait! Lots of redstripe and reggae!
Bowski - loving the idea of a diary ....I'm gonna head off and find it!
And totally agreeing that you sure ain't boring!!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
:j:j sounds a fab weekend - so far

Hello again,
have had a very lazy day today, had tea & donuts with my Grandmother which did help to soak up some of the hangover & then more tea at Dads, also came home with a bag of books as he's having a clear out.
I'm now just finishing up the last dregs of my wine & may well decide to abstain from alcohol in September as well as the biccies .
I've been checking back over my last year of diaries & it was strange to realise that this time a year ago I was all tearful over xbf & I splitting up & him going abroad for a few months:rotfl:. I was also about to have my beloved old car written off & a new kitchen installed. I'd spent £500 on my CC for car repairs & a new tv but my actual spending for August is almost the same. Last year it was £ £480 including £200 holiday spending money & this year it was £610 including £300 holiday spending money.
I like your plan sarah, very positive
hurray for carnival makeup :j0
