Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »Ok ladies and gentlemen, Sarah has said that 2009 is going to be our year and since as of tomorrow we have 4 months of it left now is the time (if like me you haven't been making the progress you have wanted) to fix your goals make a plan and stick to the plan. (I can always do the first two!)
Here we go to debt freeness, house ownership and general all round fabulousness and most importantly HAPPINESS.
So good luck with the plans for September and beyond. With Christmas looming on the horizon it maybe time to think about last year and how you would like this year to be different? What do you want to look like? What do you want to be doing? Who do you want to be with?
I know it sounds a bit self helpy but remember
If nothing changes nothing changes.
Love Buffy xxxx

I will search out my list and see if there is anything else I can tick off. I would like to tick of a few of the weightloss ones so that I can start 2010 with a fabby wardrobeBut we did say this would be our year and there are still 4 months left so lots of time for things to happen.
There is still time for me to be whisked away:D

Then this afternoon we were down on Southbank where they had a 'dancemob' - we all learnt a dance and then went down to the riverside to perform it! It was soo much fun. My friend wasn't that keen on it but in the end we had a great time!
Bowski - loving the idea of a diary ....I'm gonna head off and find it!
And totally agreeing that you sure ain't boring!!!
Thankyou :A
Also... I checked out your dancemob on youtube and it looks fabulous!!! I'd LOVE to do something like that, looks like lots of fun!
I hope you've had as much fun today:j
Lula... Do you really think you'll give up alcohol for September? Have you considered your sanity :rotfl:
I can't believe it's been a year since the whole xbf thing.. time flies when you're having fun! Do you ever hear from him or does he have more sense?
I know what you mean about the clothes thing and it must be so annoying when your friend does that! Unfortunately I only really have the choice of shopping at Evans or New Look so most the 'big' people round here wear all the same kinda stuff, I'm not really for individuality and don't think I really have a dress senseI can't really afford to be fussy lol
I'm totally with you all on the struggle of planning <--> doing! I don;t think I ever have a day when things go as I've planned in my head the night before. I'm going to sound ungrateful here and I really don't mean it like that but I always have someone ringing me/knocking on my door and if I ever get started on anything I always get interrupted. Even if someone nips round for a brew it's always at least an hour visit and I just give up then. I love all my friends to bits and love seeing them but sometimes they turn up at the wrong time but I'd never tell them that, I am a bit soft and should maybe be a bit more selfish but they've been there for me through a couple of break ups and I think it wouldn't be right to only want them when I need them. I hope that makes sense, I am gibbering on a bit haha!
Sarahb, what did you have for your last takeaway? I'm sure you'll do fine throughout September, as Shoe Gal said we're gonna have to be 'team positive'. Well done on not putting anymore weight.. I'm sure I put weight on daily

Too true Buffy.
Good luck to everyone who has a plan and if things go a bit wonky along the way chalk it up to experience and keep going!:D
I am going to....
1. Exercise more (started with 15mins on the x-trainer this morning...which is the first time i've EVER gotten up early to exercise or do anything else)
2. Lose at least a stone by 31 December (already lost 2.2lbs since starting WW on thursday :j)
3. Learn to let go of the stress and drama in my life and the people who make it.
4. Stop moaning to anyone who'll listen- Makes me feel bad afterward cos i know i shouldn't
And that's enough for me to be getting on with thank youBlessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -

Hi Ziggles... Well done on getting up early for exercise  I've gotta say the cross trainer along with the stepper was my least favourite piece of equipment at the gym.
Well done on your weightloss so far :j And good luck for your reaching your goal on the 31st Dec.
Getting rid of the stress and the people who cause it sounds like a good plan. Nobody needs that kind of hassle, life's hard enough as it. Remember..No Freakin' Drama!
Ok don't moan if it makes you feel bad but don't forget we're here should you ever want to vent, it's not good to keep it all bottled up and we all understand the need to moan at times.
Good luck with everythingInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Evening all,
Bowski - I didnt mean my rant about clothes to sound snobbyI'm really not - quite happy to indulge in a bit of charity shop chic - it's just that this friend copies everything frm hair colour & cut to jewellery & clothes & now make up as well .
Anyway, I have just emptied the cookie jar & washed it upI feel almost naked. I've not pledged to stay away from alcohol but will definitely be more discerning about when I drink it
. I actually have none in the house now  & dont have any of my 'treat' allowance until I get paid on friday so plan to be sober all week. I've set my alarm for the first time in ages too - didnt get up until 11.45 today as I was too busy finishing off Gargoyles so tomorrow will be a shock.
I've been in the garden all afternoon trying to tidy it up & have also filled another bag of stuff for the charity shop. I briefly contemplated saving some for boot sale but then admitted there was more chance of me running a marathon than doing a boot sale
I've started my weekly food shopping plan with a walk to the local co op & spent half my budget already but I know that we have plenty of food really & just to prove it I actually picked through the bag of salad & washed the good bits rather than just throwing it all in the bin. I bought some proper coffee but unfortunately still have about 2 weeks worth of the horrid instant stuff - was going to chuck it out but knew my conscience would bother me so I'll put up with it until it's all gone & then I can feel like I've earned my treat.
I've also realised that eco hasnt been about for ages, I hope it's because she's happy with her renewed romance & all her garden produce.
