And also the Nails Inc offer that popped in my inbox (4 or 5 products for a tenner) ..

I have to keep resisting Nails Inc offers that keep appearing since the £1 polish offer

BTW - they sent me 4 in the end - but only charged me for 2 :j:j

Yes, amongst my friends there was the phrase 'Treat yourself...'. If I'd had a rough time at work, I'd go and buy something to cheer myself up. To be fair, I'm not sure my way of thinking has *entirely* changed. The treats I want have changed and I'm more aware of the budget I have to do things with, but I guess I still sometimes reward myself with things.

I too saw the Nails Inc offer. It looked good, but I can't afford it and don't actually need it, so I didn't visit the website to resist temptation.

See, we are changing - all be it very slowly  12 months ago I would have been on that website, ordering the 'bargain' - and more besides :o

OK, wasn't going to mention this thing that happened last week to me but it is still really bugging me and I really need to vent.

I went swimming with my ex - we were together on and off for about 2 years which is about 2 years longer than we shold have been together but have been friends since then and keep in touch every so often.

On the way there he said 'you've put on lots of weight since I last saw you'

I ignored this as was so shocked couldn't speak and then was so upset thought couldn't speak as would cry instead.

Then after swimming on the way home he managed to make it worse by repeating this with 'you've put on lots of weight, it isn't good, if you lived with me, I'd get you down the pool 2 or 3 times a week'

At this point I told him I wanted to go home and to drop me at the nearest tube station.

He then asked if he had upset me :mad: and what he had done to upset me.

I then, of course, start crying, and finally told him what he had said that was so bad.

He then starts going on about how we had an honest and truthful relationship and how we always told each other the truth (er..nope, I never signed up for that one...I'm a true believer in ignorance is bliss)

He then goes on about how he still thinks I'm lovely blah blah blah but I was really upset and I still am and I'm also really cross....
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

    !!!!!!?? :mad::mad:

What an idiot?! I'd take it as a good reminder of why he is an ex.

    Oh makeup - poor you.

That must have been really hurtful  lt would be easy to say that's why he's an 'ex' but as he is supposed to be a friend now it was an awful thing to say!

And l am totally with you on the 'ignorance is bliss' theory - or at least 'tact rules'

    OK, back to betting malarky.

Cheers dan for S/S  - I'm sure the link I tried didn't work

So here is my match: Liverpool v Aston V (L'pool to win)

    Back Odds - 1.364
    Lay Odds - 1.4

at £50 stake would have profit of £47.99 and lay risk of £20.21

So this would mean that I would have to enter £50.52 as the stake I'm willing to accept in the box on Betfair and then I would have to have £20.21 available in my Betfair account in case L'pool win.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

    Yes. Perfect.

On Betfair, in the pink box for the lay odds 1.4, you need to check that the amount of money available is at least £50.52 (or in fact £51, as it doesn't show pence).

Thanks girls! I don't know why we're still friends and this was a big slap in the face as to why we shouldn't be.

I'm either going to give him the big 'I'm not gonna be friends with someone who would say that to me' speech or else I'm just going to 'busy tone' his calls....

Prob latter then former if he gets persistent....
