Yes, think that is the way forward. There are definitely a few people that I can buy books for as pressies!

shoegal - I know I know I know!:eek: And I've got a really expensive weekend coming up as well....... which I've both committed to and am really looking forward to! However I took £30 out of the bank today and that is going to last me til the weekend...

And at least quiliting will be something to do now that I'm going to have no social life....:rotfl:

Oh yes, did make steps forward this weekend. I normally spend a fortune on journeys - drinks, mags, snacks etc but this time on the way there and back I didn't buy a thing! I took a packed dinner on the coach on the way there and then on the way back read a book I'd borrowed off my sister and she also gave me a sandwich.

I was thinking of buying some choc for the journey but the cashpoint charged £1.75 per transaction  and the shop was £5 min so didn't want to splurge £5 on stuff that would be gone in no time!

OMG, I might actually be taking this stuff in.....

What is it about ducks and the process of feeding them that is so therapeutic? I always want to feed ducks when I see them and it always cheers me up so much... very strange.

As for the quilting kit... you could start your own sideline in handmade quilts n blankets for the whole family!

I've just gone and scrounged some tough cardboard boxes to build into a big box that I can actually fit all my stuff into! It's gonna be tight! My main problem is weight, not size. I'm having to be very tough and throw out or give away anything which is too heavy, whether it's big or small.

Morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend:D

Makeup, I thought the same as ShoeGal when I saw your post, think of your sig! I know it's difficult though, I would have done the same, I spent £15 on books I wanted but did not need over the weekend, plus £5 on socks and £5 on M&S food:o I could have managed without all these:o

Anyway, I have decided that this week I really will make a huge effort to do some decluttering here, I was reading something recently about how if you are focusing on something you want (eg moving into your own home) you have to get yourself into a situation where you are ready for it, so I need to make my room and belongings as pared down as possible so that I can move quickly and easily. There is too much clutter and it is suffocating me.

Off to make a list on the get it done thread, where I have never managed to get a whole list completed:o but it does spur me on a bit.

Hope everyone has a good day. icon7.gif

    Sounds familiar.

    Anyway, positive vibes.

Do we actually have to do anything specific today? I have got £100 in a separate account and I have read the boards.
