I watched the first programme of Economy Gastronomy, I was a bit surprised that the family had £130 a week to spend on groceries. Does anyone else think that was a lot? I would hardly call it economising anyway, I'm sure I spend less than that a month including wine and I still end up throwing stuff away. :o

A year ago I'd have probably agreed but food prices have rocketed in the last year. It's not a really tight budget but its far from extravagant any more.

    Evening folks...

Well I'm not so upset about camping now, time is a great healer :D
Instead me and DD are going to go to the cinema, make rice crispie cakes, I'm going to teach her how to play yahtzee and then we're watching king kong. I'm going to be turning my phone off and not answering the door, it's going to be a day for just the two of us :grinheart And laptop is banned

I was laughing when I caught up with the thread from lastnight, the whole confusion about the money/job/pocket/thumbs thing had me in stitches!

Well i was on the tea until I just knocked it off the table all over the floor, but it's ok I'm not at home!:p I'm babysitting for my niece and nephew and my niece just came down for the toilet and then asked me to itch her foot because, apparently people keep putting itchy plants down her t.shirt!

I've seen a few people mention economy gastronomy, I'll have to try and remember to watch it. How many people was the £130 for?

£25 in tesco vouchers is brilliant sarah,I only got £1 but to be honest I don't even know how I got that coz I don't ever remember using my clubcard. A mag subscription sounds like a fab idea :T

Bowski - are you sure?? Can you really not manage it? Would be a shame to miss out if you have been looking forward to it - and camping is normally pretty bargainous?! If you're really sure that you can't afford it then make sure you have something else planned to look forward to

SBC - I think the last time I drank Olde English Cider, I was 15 and had bought some from a Happy Shopper and we were caught drinking it in the toilets at the music school disco......happy days! Do they sell Diamond White and Mad Dog 20/20 too????

I can't wait for the weekend, I've so lost my working mojo...there was talk of me moving to another area for a short secondment but I don't think that is gonna happen. I can't decide if a good or bad thing as don't know what would happen with my workload while I'm gone!

Every call I've had this week has been hassle - aargh!

Plus I feel really disorganised and like I haven't made any progress.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Ha a colleague just reminded me about Diamond White; I had completely forgotten it. Probably due to all the Diamond White I drank when I was 13.

Wasn't there something called Thunderbird too?

The merits don't need to be discussed, they should be obvious :)
